right now, i have silk tips and they are always airbrushed french. the nail salon is like 20 minutes from me. they do a very nice job but they cut me sometimes, i am in there for like 2-3 hours when i get a new set, etc
i work at the gym in the summer and saw some girl that had the most awesome nails. i asked her where she got them done, and it happens to be in my town! they aren't silk, they are more of a pink and white....not really acrylic but glue?
ANYWAY, do i go for it and go to the new place because the girl had perfect nails? or stick to my place.

Re: ok - weird nail question
it can be either permanent french with gels or acrylic...either way you only need a backfill once every month...

I would try them out now. This way, if you don't like them, you can go back to your old place.

Re: ok - weird nail question
In Oceanside on Mott Street, there is a nail place called Crystal Nails. I get my permanent french there all the time. They can fill in the acrylic with pink or white powder. I believe a new set costs about 35-40 dollars. You can tell them of you want the line thick or thin. I usually use Tony and my friend uses Lisa. They both do a great job. By the way...if you do go there, make sure you get a pedicure...they massage your legs and feet for such a long time!!!

I would go with the new set. I always think a new set of (fake) nails looks best!

Re: ok - weird nail question
your place cuts you...???
you may want to switch places... but maybe its not a good idea so close to the wedding... but then again I tried out a new nail place this week and LOVED them.......!!!!!!!!! when your nails dry you sit in a massage chair and rest your arms under the drier... it was awesome... I had my legs, head, neck & back massaged while my nails dried...
