OK, who recommended C & H ???
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!!Once I found the shop (LOL), I hesitated-it looked like a little hole in the wall. Then a girl walked out with the biggest smile on her face and encouraged me to go in. The man and woman there were so nice and so accomodating. She put about a thousand headpieces on me-I had no idea what I wanted! When all was said and done, the first tiara I tried on seems to be 'the one'.
Did you find their veil prices competitive or on par with everyone elses? I've shopped headpieces to death and know C & H's are very good. This is the first time I got $$ quotes for veils.
I would still be lost in finding the perfect headpiece if it wasn't for you girls. Thanks for the recommend!

Hooray!!!!!!!!Got a pic of it?
Bride2be recommended them to me and others! Then after I went, I joined her in recommending them to everyone!!! But Bride2Be is the one who found the place!
Isn't the woman so nice? And can you believe how many headpieces they have???
I am going back in late October to chose mine with my mom (I was torn between 2).I find their prices to be the same, if not better.
Are you getting a veil too?

Re: OK, who recommended C & H ???
Could anyone tell me what the average price for a headpiece at C&H is? I've been trying on headpieces that are $600-$700 and Idon't want to spend anywhere near that for a headpiece.

The veil is separate. She custom makes whatever veil you like.

I think this is where I went with my cousin to buy her headpiece. Is it a petite Asian woman who owns the shop? There is no air conditioning, the headpieces are all the way in the back...?

Do any of you have any idea about how long it takes? My wedding is in Novemer..the 9th to be exact and I STILL dont have a headpiece! Also, do they have ivory ones there? I have an ivory dress and need an ivory veil. I am freaking out about this! lol Thanks in advance!

Re: OK, who recommended C & H ???
Ok..I was almost afraid to click on the post from the title. I am relieved to find out another bride had a good experience. I think I was the one who started talking about them. I found the shop when wondering around after a trip to RK Bridal on day. It is a whole in the way. But they have tons of headpieces and she tries hard to satisfy. She is also not afraid to state her opinion if she doesn't like it or she doesn't think it will go or just what she thinks is best. But she does it in a helpful way.Yes it is run by an Asian woman with her husband and they have air conditioning but often it is not on.
I bought my veil and headpiece there. For my veils(2 layer fingertip (extra length - cause I am tall) and a detachable catherdral) and headpeice (sparkly with pealrs and crystals) it was a little under $300. From what I saw that is cheap. I saw headpieces alone going for $500-600. I love it. I bought my dress in bridal couture and I brought it with me to my first fitting and the seamstress along with some shoppers where asking where I bought it. It was very well made.
My veil is ivory with a pencil trim. The headpiece had white pearls but she made it for me with ivory pearls.
You can get them reletively quickly. I ordered mine on Memorial Day weekend and it was ready by the 4th of July...I picked the date. She could have had it ready sooner. I just had no where to put it b/c my wedding is October. I actually just picked it up a few weeks ago.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Don't forget to tell her I sent you. Jennbaby said she remembered me. I am the girl with the pretty dress who bought it in LI and comes in with her mom.
