hi everyone..i'm under my assumed name because i'm afraid someone will see this post..a friend of mine asked me to go to her friend for one of my vendors..i didn't like what they had to offer and i'm going with someone else..how on earth do i tell this vendor that i don't want to go with them..especially after they gave me a great deal and they got me another vendor that i'm going with for a good price also??? i don't want my friend getting upset with me that i didn't go with them. i knew i shouldn't have gone..how do i break it to them??

Just be honest with whoever you need to, they will have to get over it. Tell your friend that you liked what thier contact had to offer biut you were completely blown away by the other vendor.

That you can't get them out of your head. You a[[reciate the help etc.
but you were floored by the competition.

Thats what I would do- good luck!

Exactly - just tell her the truth and tell the vendor you are going with someone else. Everyone has different tastes - Im sure all involved understand that. Its better to tell her right away so you don't have to deal with this later.

Ugh! Isn't that the worst? I had a family member recommend her best friend as a vendor. This person used to spend holidays with my family! I later found out that the qoute they gave me was higher than what they gave to other brides. So, I was able to just say, 'I really can't afford you.'

My family member and I got into a few spats about it because I felt like she gave her friend the impression that I have a money tree in the back yard.

Just be honest and stand your ground. If worse comes to worse, just say that your FH also has a great contact and you're going with that person.
