Okay - it's me again, with a question! Hopefully NOT TMI!

Hi ladies, I am a regular poster and posted under this name a few weeks ago asking a few questions. I have come to a conclusion after I got my AF that I am OBVIOUSLY not preg. HOWEVER, I'm back with another inquiry...

Before Dec. 22 I thought I may have been preg due to cramps a whole week before my AF was due, which for me is VERY unusual, but on Dec. 22 I got my AF, it seemed regular and I was SURE I was NOT preg. Anyway, I've started again with sore boobies last week and my AF is not due for another 2 weeks (I am pretty regular, sore boobies for me, means AF is around the corner)...

Has anyone had their 'period' in the beginning of their pregnancy. I've read about implantation bleeding, but my AF certaintly seemed regular. I also 'think' I feel a weird feeling in my stomach, but don't know if it's just psychological or not. UGH! This is so frustrating and DH tells me I'm going nuts! I want to take a HPT, but I'm so afraid it will be neg. and I will be disappointed

I guess I'll just wait to see if I get AF this month and go from there. I guess I just needed to vent, thanks for listening!

I have heard that some women have AF when they are pregnant. Some women have spotting. Why don't you take a HPT?

My doctor thought that I had my period while I was pregnant, but it doesn't appear to be so... but I know that it's pretty common.

Thanks, I really guess I should take a test... I'm just afraid of disappointment and also afraid to have proof that I'm going crazy haha!

I know morning is best to take an HPT, but can I take one in the afternoon? Or would it not even be worth it since it won't be accurate!

Snook - pretty common to have your period during pregnancy?

Supposedly it's pretty common to get your period the first month... implantation... not really your period.

As for taking a HPT in the afternoon... I took mine around 3pm, and the 2 lines appeared clear as day...

I know the HPT tells you that it picks up the pregnancy hormone better with your first morning pee. You may get a faint line though if you took it later or you can try to hold out til the morning. You can get a box that has two tests in it.
I used the First Response Early Results test and I did mine in the afternoon and got a +.
Good luck.

OH BOY! I think I should do this, not very normal to think your preg. for a month and then your not, lol!

Anyway, thank you so much ladies! Is there something wrong if I take it at work? lol... I'm psycho!!!

From personal exp and reading this board there are a lot of phantom symptoms when ttc Wishing you much luck and babydust Take a test.... My friend did get her period when preggo... Good luck

It won't hurt to take the test!! I thought I had my period too, but at that time I was already 4-6 weeks pregnant. It wasn't heavy and it didn't flow, but it was there when I wiped (sorry, TMI!). It also wasn't 'red', but more of a dark maroon, brown color (again TMI).

Let us know how you make out.

Just to let you know, my friend got pregnant on the pill. She had forgotten back up protection while taking a med that makes the pill ineffective. Anyway she got her period for 4 months after the meds and suddenly her Aunt Flo was a no show. She saw her GYN and they informed her she stopped getting her period cause she was 14 weeks preggers. It Happens!!

You may want to wait to take the test at home. If you don't get the result you want(I hope you do ) you may be upset at work

I had light spotting for the first TWO months that I was pregnant. I thought it was just my body adjusting to being off the pill but nope, I was prego.
It's better to take a HPT just to be on the safe side.
Best of luck to you.

Also I don't think it is good to be on the pill while preggo, take the test

Thanks wino - I'm actually not on the pill nor have I ever been, but thanks for your concern!

I took Stacey's advice and decided not to take the HPT here at work. If I have the ba**s I will go buy one later! Thanks again ladies!
