when i got married, i didnt know just how much laundry i had to do every week! i swear, its just me and DH but he wears a uniform to work (LIRR) so he has an outfit before he leaves for work, then his uniform, then an outfit when he comes home and lounges around again! and i dont remember hearing in our wedding vows the part about having to iron so much crap every weekend!!!!

...people would ask me 'so, how is married life?' I feel as if it's often sarcastic, as if I would find it distasteful! Whenever someone I know gets married, I say congratulations rather than asking them this irritating question...it's the 2nd worst question next to: 'so, when are you having kids?' Like it's it your business IF I ever do!!! grrrrr

I didn't know that I would feel so much more connected and in synch with him. Our relationship has completely gone to a new level and I love it.
I also didn't know that DH wanted a baby so soon and wants to start trying in the next few months!

That I would fall more in love with DH, that everything would remain absolutely the same which is wonderful because I did not want anything to change... and that I would be so happy and relieved that planning is over and I can have my pre- wedding life back :)

That all of the stupid little fights would stop and that we finally settled back into the calm we had when we first met.

I would LAUGH hysterically as my dad & I walked down the aisle!!!!! Most brides get teary eyed, some cry, but I laughed my butt off!!! I laughed when I got engaged too. Not sure why, but that's what happens to my brain. It starts getting all jiggly & then I start cracking up!
