1) say something positive about the previous poster

and/OR

share something about yourself
2) Share the point you are at with wedding planning EMOTIONALLY right now . . .

I will start

Since I am starting this, I have no one before me to say something nice about . . . but I love LIW- everyone is so nice and helpful here!!!

I am in my third year teaching and it is my tenure year. I am tired and stressed but I love my job!

Right now I can't wait until the lag time is over- I need to be like 3 months away from the wedding because right now I have been engaged for far too long and just want my wedding day to be here already!!! I am at the point where EVERYONE is making me crazy about the WEDDING!!!!!!

Hmm, well BriBri - I don't know you very well, but you seem fun from what I've read over at the NWR and BHB boards - I hope to get to know you better! But, knowing that you're a teacher gives you extra points in my book! (I'm a grad student in teaching myself!)

And about me, I'm kind of at a standstill with wedding planning since I'm in VA. I'm sure you'll get a lot more wedding related posts out of me once I'm back on LI in December

Debs is a fun loving, kind hearted spirit who shares my name. We have a running gag that we should marry each other and let our respective spouses to be (Kevin and Ken) marry as well in a double ceremony. We bonded one night over the race to 1000 posts which I now cannot recall the exact ending of.

I am done with the big vendors, waiting to do STD's and would like to get FG dresses done. I am stressed heavily about some new projects I have taken on at work which I think may explai nwhy I have been feeling so run down and tired. I revived QOTD because I thought it a nice way to pass time and get to know all of you better -- I have learned the most incredible things about you guys and it has greatly lessened the stress of wedding planning.

Ok- I will cover prncssrachel and DebMaher due to the typing skip.
Prncssrachel- you were really cute the other day when you came on the 05 board and reintroduced yourself here since you are on the BHB all the time. I thought that was sweet.
Deb- even though you may be in the hot seat sometimes, I respect that you always stick by your opinion and that you write in an eloquent way.
Wedding planning- other than invites, I feel done. I am not sending out std's since the less that show the better. I only need 100 and would thrilled with that number!

fun!

ckgm (christine) is an amazingly strong woman and role model - she has actually inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a therapist. She manages to be caring and supportive on these boards, while maintaining a sense of humor about everything. (Not easy in these dark days of cranes)

I am getting very overwhelmed at work these days and really hating the office world - even more motivation to go back to schooland pursue that dream!

I am in a major planning slump and I don't do much more than research. I look things up a;l day and long and then do nothing about them. I am indecisive and a little 'over' it. I just want the honeymoon right now. I have a feeling the planning bug will come back soon....

okay... I'll play.

I don't really know any of you, but ckgmwedding, I LOVE your Avatar. My FI proposed to me at Mantauk point, and everytime I see your post I think about that momen... which weirds me out, since I am not mushy and generally don't think about things like that.

... And now, about me.
The wedding planning is stressing me out! I have been engaged for 2 years, since we needed to save up for the wedding, and I think that was a BIG mistake. It is taking so long! And never-ending! I would like just finish with the planning, and yet, everytime I accomplish one task, all I can think about is all the other tasks I have to do! I have nightmares that tasks just keep growing!

Edited to say: huh... bunnymonkey just slipped in her post!
So.. bunnymonkey - I think you are great!
Congrats on having strength to pursue to become a therapist. Career switches are stressful, so I definately think it takes gutts to do thaT!

Ok...I dont know May05 bride too much, but she seems very nice..shes getting married in my b-day month so I like her more for that...lol..
I'm out of work right now a leave of absence and am going back soon and have no internet acess and will be going through withdrawels of LI!

As far as planning goes, I'm about to hit the home stretch of the 4 month and less mark and I'm starting to get more and more worried about having enough money to pay for all this.

Angel- Very obviously has a great sense of humor and I appreciate that you voice your opinion with tact.

As far as planning goes I'm very excited to announce I just ordered my matchbox cylinders!!! I'll post them later!

Alright, from what I know about DM24Angel (Donna). She is always positive and full of helpful advice. I can't wait to actually meet her.

Typed too slow so I'll add Amy. I feel she is a great addition to the boards.
Wedding Planning- I too am in lag time and just want July to get here as fast as possible.

OK, so I will do Amy since she had the same typing glitch as me -- Amy is someone I am just getting to know who has elegant tastes in her wedding choices and tells a mean joke.

Hey I wrote about Amy too.

Oh lordy -- I did it while you were typing. OK -- angelbear is another person I am just getting to know but she seems really sensitive, insightful, and fun.
<---I am apparantly someone who needs to learn to type faster!

Hey girls! I like this thread!
Angelbear, you seem like a very sweet person...I have recently seen your hair and makeup trial pics (which came out beautiful by the way). I think that you give great advice and seem like you are always there to help others in need, both on LIW and with your family, friends, etc.

BriBri529-I am in my third year of teaching too...my tenure year.

This weekend (Nov.7) will be a year that I am engaged and I feel like this past year flew right by me and I have a TON of things to do!!! I am stressed but excited that the wedding is only 8 months away!

OOOps! I took too long to post...DebMaher, I think you are a very nice and honest person. Thanks for giving me advice over the weekend on my makeup trial. I also think you have great taste in fashion...I love your gown!

Re: Okay maybe this is cheesy, but in an attempt to bring all of us together . . .

ok-- I'll play..

Destiny-- I don't know you too well, as I think you are relatively new to the boards or not an obsessive, overly active poster (like myself).. but what nice I will say, is that the more 05 brides, the merrier. Whatever you may need throughout your wedding planning process, we are here to help you to ensure you have the most beautiful and amazing day you can dream of. In a real mess-- feel free to FM.. I am a good listener and have been told I give good advice.

As for me-- I am in the process of working through with my invitations person a possible printing problem-- which is annoying, but thank god I took care of it early. I am also on the search for a calligrapher. I am trying to crack the whip opn myself so I am full on 'in training for the wedding'. I want to be fully in the zone before the holidays get here, as I start my fittings in Feb. Also, I have a goal of taking care of anything I can ahead of time by Thanksgiving- after the new year, all hell will break loose for me!

Randi-----I remember seeing your engagement pics and thinking what a pretty girl! You are also intelligent and seem to have a wide variety of interests. There is also an air of sophistication about you. And you are getting married on 4/16---my birthday, so of course it's going to be a great day!

Me, I'm just having a grumpy day today. I feel like such a bad bride sometimes because I'm not obsessed and on top of my planning, like so many of you are. It is a personality flaw, but I don't get very excited about things until they are almost here!

Lovely-- you are so freakin' nice!! Thank you for all the 'lovely' things you said..

Don't feel like a bad bride-- for me, it comes in waves.. sometimes I am psyched-- and other times I am not. I always say, I don't have the 'bride gene'... No one expects you to be gung ho wedding planner all the time-- it's not the only thing in your life!
