Okay maybe this is cheesy, but in an attempt to bring all of us together . . .

Original post by BriBri529

1) say something positive about the previous poster

and/OR

share something about yourself
2) Share the point you are at with wedding planning EMOTIONALLY right now . . .

I will start

Since I am starting this, I have no one before me to say something nice about . . . but I love LIW- everyone is so nice and helpful here!!!

I am in my third year teaching and it is my tenure year. I am tired and stressed but I love my job!

Right now I can't wait until the lag time is over- I need to be like 3 months away from the wedding because right now I have been engaged for far too long and just want my wedding day to be here already!!! I am at the point where EVERYONE is making me crazy about the WEDDING!!!!!!

Well, LovelyL I don't really know you too well but I always enjoy reading your posts!

Something about me... I am also a teacher, in my fourth year but at a Catholic School... I feel like I am never getting out! I love to laugh and am a very positive person... I enjoy playing Scrabble, doing crosswords and bowling!

Wedding planning... emotionally, I am doing great other than the wait! I am almost at that one year mark... I just booked my makeup and am working on the limos... We really have very little left! Nothing too big!

This is fun! Great idea Bri!

Going Nutty--I think you are a really sweet & positive person. I also think it's so sweet that you and FH have been together so long (I remember seeing a pic of you guys from high school, I think ) and you two are so cute together!

Emotionally and financially I'm drained from this wedding. Not sure how I'm going to pull everything off and manage to keep FH from putting me in the nut house.

Oops, forgot the about me part. I'm a corporate lawyer but my secret passion is animal rights legislation. I used to be a pretty good field hockey and lacrosse player (I was recruited to play, and did play, in college) until I managed to injure myself rather badly. FH and I have made wine tasting one of our hobbies.

Thanks! And we're both 'Jennie' too!

jenniesunshine seems to have the perfect name as she always brings a ray of sunshine in her posts. She has great input, always friendly and how can you not just love her pic in her avatar?!?!?!

I think I've hit a plateau where the wedding is concerned. I was a bit gung ho in the beginning, wanting to accomplish everything in the first month. I need to get back into that swing before all vendors are booked!

Donna is a sweet person. She fm'd me when my fh grandmother was dying to see how we were doing.

Happybride always has a good and happy outlook on things. Always a pleasure to read her posts.

I am at a point of frustration in my wedding planning. But loving it anyway!!!

i LOVE ravens_bride and i'm soo happy that shes able to get in some good LIW quality time before her work takes her away from us again in december shes so down to earth, and we've had a couple of times where we just bugged out together, and it was awesome.

I am 108 days away from having me a husband, and i'm emotionally torn. Some days, i'm all excited about the planning and want to enjoy every last second of it, and other days i just want to get there already so that me and FH can finally be a 'family'... and not have a million things to do every week and weekend!!

I lucked out and got someone I know -

Neener is an amazingly strong woman who - even in the face of a challenging working environment - manages to keep it from bringing her down. I think that takes strength and courage, and I admire her for it!

Oh - and she has smashing taste in BM bouquets!!!

ETA: OOOHHH - it took me a few days to figure out why 'I' was less than '3'

wow - I sure can flake out sometimes..

Well I'll write even though I'm really new to the boards.
I don't know any of the girls but just saw that Ronkonkomonga had Kerry 2004!!! in her profile and like her even more!
I have found the girls on this site to be very helpful and full of ideas. Thanks!

I'm at a point where I sometimes want to kill my fi and call the whole thing off and other times I want to run away and marry him on the spot because I love him so much. It's an emotional roller coaster! We've been together for almost 9 years but are both fairly young (I'll be 25 in a couple of weeks) and if I hear one more person saying 'about time' when I tell them our date I swear I'll kill them!

I'm going through a transition period at work and recently went from retail to corporate (same company) so it's challenging, to say the least!

HI Somethingblu- you are new but I love your honesty. Believe me I say the same things about my FH everyday. I love him to pieces but have been single for so long its hard sometimes. He's also a man so by nature he will drive me crazy!

I just wanted to say thank you to Bunny- that was one of the nicest compliments I have ever received. I feel as if I have gotten to know you so well on these boards and highly encourage you to follow the dream. You won't be disappointed- it is a highly rewarding career and I think you would be good at it!

Also thanks May05 for her compliment about my avatar. I am so excited about my centerpiece that I loved hearing someone else gains from it! I will think of you every time I paint ANOTHER lighthouse

Bri- great idea for the post- we can use a pat on the back- its a great self-esteem booster!

oh, christine! i believe that NO truer words have ever been spoken!!!!

BriBri- thank you so much for this post. i love cheesiness, and not feeling alone in the world of the cheesey

Ronk- you just made me smile from ear to ear... by the way, the feeling is 100% mutual!!!
and you are too funny with that accountants brain of yours... 'I is less than 3'

this is one of my favorite threads!!! i love any opportunity for people to use caring words towards each other. it gives me a redeemed sense of hope for mankind

Ok. My turn..

Bri, I have never gotten into a deep convo with you but I admire you for thinking of this topic. We all definitely need this boost of confidence. So, all in all I just want to say thanks for thinking of this.

As far as wedding planning, I have booked all major vendors and am now currently working on STD's and favors.

Re: Okay maybe this is cheesy, but in an attempt to bring all of us together . . .

ckgmwedding rocks! She always has sound advice, good perspective and makes great centerpieces!

I shouldn't be posting here bcz I worry that anything I post will get back to my family. That said, I'm an emotional wreck right now. FH and I were on our way to a dj appt this evening and before we could even get out of our parking garage, I drove the car into a wall in order to avoid a collision with some idiot who was blocking the way while trying to jump another car. I've only had the car a few months and I've diverted some $ earmarked for the car to the wedding, so I'm peeved that I've damaged the car and don't feel like I have $ to pay for it because of the wedding. And, I'm angry as anything at the b who had her car in a bad spot, yet wouldn't acknowledge her wrongdoing. And, I'm upset that FH agreed with the b and didn't stand up for me. And, I'm upset that FH was being so nice to me even though I'm so stupid.

I'm OK, FH is OK and the car's OK except for some scratches. This unleashed the well of all emotions -- anxiety about everything -- even about having to leave early from work several times a week to make it to these wedding appointments.

I could go on for days, but that's enough for now.

Liliac- omg- Thank God you are ok! I HATE anything car related. Just listening to you, you sound just like me when these dumb things happen. That just sucks but it can be fixed eventually. It will all work out in the end
Also thank you greatly for what you said. You girls are certainly making me feel so good today. Thanks since I really needed it!
