Ok, we booked our hall this past Sun! YEAH! But now what? What do I do first?!?! Our wedding is June 29, 2006, and I don't want to 'rush' into things, but feel I need to do something .
Anyone have a planning list? Thanks!!
Also, I am not 100% sure on the color scheme yet, is it hard to meet with florist w/o knowing colors or what flowesrs I want?

I feel your enthusiasm. One I'm doing something (like looking for a photographer) I'm looking to go to the next step. I need to slow down and learn to enjoy!

I think you should wait on the florist - you will change your mind a million times before 2006!
I was engaged for 6 months beore i did 'anything' but every night i was researching and getting ideas, going through planning journals on www.weddingchannel.com (great place for ideas) and generally just ripping pics out of magazines and talking with FH about what we wanted our wedding to be. I think if you start doing to much before you have a full vision of the day you may get ahead of yourself and have to backtrack, make changes, regret decisions, etc.
My advice then: Research and Relax!

I would wait also because your tastes will change over time. You dont want to do too much too soon then be bored and start thinking of changing things. My friend did that and it was a nightmare. Take your time and read the magazines and just collect information and ideas for now.

Thank you so much! Your words have put me in perspective! I just need to relax, and tear thru (literally) the piles of bridal magazines I have. Also, I can work on our engagement party stuff, which is April 23! Again, thanks. Sometimes I need a littlw guidance!

i think you should book the church next if you're not going to get married at the hall

I would say wait on the florist and book your photographer next.
But make sure you have your church booked too and plan your pre-cana, if necessary.

We too booked the church first. Actually need to call monsignor to change it. Our original date was 7/21. My biggest desire to do things is to know how much $$ things will cost. Not sure how to establish a budget w/o having a clue how much things will cost. Is it okay to visit with different vendors to get ideas on pricing?
