my dad's coming w/ me next week to my dream weddin location and i made a deal with him (he wants me to wait to finish school b4 we marry)
well the deal is, as long as i got my foot in the door and doing REALLY WELL he will be happy to 'let the wedding go on' and if not , i have to cancel my wedding and pay him back any money he puts down
so im so excited!!! cause this is what i want! and im finally moving toward booking

when you say finish school do you mean college or grad school? My parents (particularly my dad) wanted/expected that i would finish law school first, and i originally thought we would too, but I don't think it's the best timing-wise.
I did NOT want to get married the summer of the bar exam (too stressful, too distracting) and wanted a summer wedding which either left the summer after second year or the summer of my first year as an associate. We chose the former, because as a new associate (especially at a big firm) it can be hard to plan ahead, i wouldn't know for sure if i'd be able to take off for a honeymoon, and i'd be really busy so it would be hard to plan. I don't think we are rushing into anything (we'll have been together 6 years on 9/1 and we're getting married 8/17). FH got his masters in may and has a 'real job'

well i was suppose to graduate suffolk this semester w/ my associates and transfer to st. joes in jan...but bein in the hospital has set me back a semester...and that just frusturates me
