Okay so My Review On The Rivera and the saga story of my fathers wedding.LOL sorry so long...
So I will do the happy stuff first the Riviera was very nice. I don't recommend a Thursday night wedding though even if you are on a budget everyone was complaining that they had to go to work the next day.
Anyway the food was fabulous and it takes a lot to impress me. I had the duck as a main course I love duck and it is different and all of my cousins that I sat with thought it was great it was better then the chicken. The cake was great and so were the Shirley tempels lol I was driving and also did not want to make any scenes. The only thing they did not have waiters go around and take drink orders so everyone had to go up to the bar and get here own. Oh and one more thing I am not a fan of outdoor cocktail hours it was buggy and humid. But the senery was beautiful.
So now for the other stuff.
I show up with my lil sis and her friend. My father and his now wife are outside smoking cigarettes and admiring the motor cycles parked outside. She runs up to my lil sis and is all in her face and says oh thanks for coming. At this point my lil sis is so freaked out that we are even at this wedding she just stood there she was so upset. And my father says thank you guys for coming. Okay so I said thanks and then I asked where everyone was and they showed us I said hi to all of my family and my other sis who went to the ceremony. She said she was a wreck for the ceremony. So I went to get everyone champange it was okay. Then one of my aunts came up to my lil sis and said 'Joanna don't worry its just an F@#$ing piece of paper. It was quite funny. And all of my aunts and uncles admired my ring and said congrats and asked where my FH is and I told them he got a promotion to VP and he was in a meeting with one of the school systems. blah blah blah. I really did not want him there he may have changed his mind about marrying me lol just kidding. But really I wanted people to see me being strong with my sisters. I think if anything this brought us closer together.
So we had a great time with my cousins dancing and dinner we got dinner so late because I think the stupid couple had an hour and a half cocktail hour on a Thursday night then the toast which was quite funny because the brides bestfriend was giving the speech and all of us were sitting and talking and we thought by the sound of the voice it was a man and it wasn't OMG it was so funny all you hear is cracking up during the toast because she really sounded like a man. lol so funny. We danced which was fun I dragged my sisters up and my cousins it was weird because that is something only my mom would do. So basically I took her place that night in that way. Then all of us wanted to leave because it was getting so late so we did the cake. Then my middle sis left, then my lil sis asked my father if they were going to dance at all and he said 'no' so she again got upset. Then we were all eating dessert and we wanted to leave so we were getting up to leave and the bride comes over and says to my lil sis (now I am on the other side of the table so I cannot hear what she is saying) oh common dance Joanna and she says oh we are going now then the bride says 'thanks for nothing!' OMG she is so lucky I was being my respectful self and did not play into her act she wanted us to start something and we did not. So my sis was upset and she cried and we said good bye to everyone and left....... The end ....................
Thanks ladies I did survive. I was the Rock last night. LOL Thanks for all of your support now it is all about my wedding. YEAH![]()
