okay - time for undergarment shopping - where to go for long line bra?
I wish I were excited about my first fitting, but I'm mostly nervous. (I have this horrible feeling the dress will be too small or something! LOL)
At any rate, that aside, I need to get all of my undergarments for the dress by next Thursday (June 28th!)
I need a recommendation for a REALLY good store in Nassau or in midtown Manhattan -- much prefer nassau.
I remember a girl posting here that her family (mom possibly?) owns a lilngerie shop that will measure you and help find the perfect garment. If you're out there, please contact me!
I need a long line strapless bra (and I'm about a 34 or 36 DD!) that will give support, work under my gown, etc., etc...

Mary's Corsettiers in Woodbury!!!!! They do the alterations on the bra as you wait, and they fit it to you. Mine came out awesome!

I'm pretty sure it's AMJA that works there

You could try Georgette's in Hicksville.
Don't be nervous about your fitting, just enjoy it!!

Yeah, AMJA has the boutique Sweet Lace: Bellmore on Bedford Ave.
Ill probably be going there too!

I've just never been so paranoid about my weight in my entire life. I have a somewhat irrational fear that it will be too small b/c I know for one of the measurements I couldn't really gain any weight. I was planning on losing -- I think (hope) I haven't gained. I'll be good and drop a couple pounds between now and the wedding anyway... ugh!
I just went to L&T in the city on a whim (just now!)and found a great one. Hopefully it will work and it seemed to fit great - I got one in a small # size (same cup size) just in case I drop more pounds - if not, I can always return it.
If this won't work, I'll look at these other stores, too. Thanks for the suggestions!

Heyy....It is Sweet Lace...and AMJA family store...They are a vendor on here as well...Defintely check them out- they specialize in Bridal!

I have an appt. next week at bratenders. It is not too far from Penn Station. They are a vendor on here and I have read good reviews on them.

I had a good experience at Great Shapes... they have a few locations in Nassau. I went to the one on Merrick Rd. in Merrick. There is also one on Willis Ave/Mineola Ave. in Roslyn Heights
