for photographer and why? I'm looking DESPERATELY for someone (Nov 03 bride). I want someone who doesn't do typical wedding pics. I'm interested in someone who specializes in candid photojournalistic 'type' photos - not the posed and plain kind. Thanks!!

My sister in law is using Dominic from 12th night. He used to work for Cassarino, which is who I am using.

I used Autumn at Photo Zone- she is so great. Although she is not well known, she does really good work.. not only is she great to work with the day of (not obnoxious like a lot of photographers- not 'in your face' and non- offensive) but she has been great to work with after the wedding as well. She works within your budget and does not try to push anything on you. I had her for 10 hours (her & another photographer) and I had candid, posed and photojournalism. anthony is the main photographer, he is the only one who shots the b/w and candids. he can also do the color shots as well, but i liked the idea of having only a color photographer. i dont think his company is like some of they others where you book the company and then they have 10 photographers to choose from.

I am using Duet Wedding Studio in Huntington Station. The website is www.duetwedding.com I also wanted photojournalistic. I saw their work and booked with them right away. With every package they include 2 photographers and a videographer. They start at $2800 - and their work is great! A few other brides booked with them from this site.

try michael rosengard at north island photography. he does incredible photojournalistic work.
I'm using Imagine Studios. I chose them because I loved the artistic style and the photographer, Lia is such a nice person to deal with. She's both talented and professional.
If you do a search for them you will find alot of brides on here who have used them. I have never heard a negative review.

I second Mark Kauffman - his work is outstanding - you get at least two photographers and he has custom made packages
