Okay, who did everyone use

Original post by minniebride14

for photographer and why? I'm looking DESPERATELY for someone (Nov 03 bride). I want someone who doesn't do typical wedding pics. I'm interested in someone who specializes in candid photojournalistic 'type' photos - not the posed and plain kind. Thanks!!

Another Imagine bride. I can honestly say that the whole experience from beginning to end was extremely positive. Lia & Nelson work together so well & their work is creative & unique & very professional. Everyone commented on how unobtrusive they were during the ceremony & the reception ...

And the pics!!! I could not ask for better. Their work speaks for itself. Check them out ... you wont be sorry!

Perceptions, Perceptions, Perceptions!
I was also looking for a photojournalist but was having trouble. Everyone told me they could adjust to my style but I wasn't comfortable with that. As soon as I looked at Anthony's albums I just knew. His pictures are breathtaking. They have such emotion.

Definitely check him out!!

OMG!!! You have to look at North Island Photography (Michael Rosengard). We just got our proofs and they are amazing! We have a mix of photojournalistic and some posed. They are beautiful. I highly recommend them!

I picked Jonathan Hubschman for that exact reason. He was reasonably priced, I love love love his work, he's a nice guy and he's a photojournalist. I met him b/c he was doing some volunteer work where I worked, and I saw some wedding photos in his portfolio that I loved. He'll also consult with you forever.

His website is www.makarion.com

If you call him, tell him I sent you! I just want him to know how highly we think of him.

For my wedding, I hired Creative Compositions. If you are interested in photojournalism (I was too!) ask to see Ruth's work. She is so sweet, and very talented!!!

I'm using Jovon (Ralph), and I'm so excited! He does a great mix of traditional and photojournalistic, B&W and color. My FI and I met with him before we booked, and he was such a perfect gentleman as well.

If you dont' want anything plain and posed, I wouldn't look at visual image, in Merrick (i'm sorry to anyone using them, this is just my opinion). I found their photos to be nice, but very traditional and with little imagination.
