is it tacky NOT wear pantyhose on your wedding day??

i am a hot person as it is... and just the idea of adding pantyhose on top of wearing a heavy wedding dress etc etc etc makes me swoon in a bad way.

so is it tacky??

i also think... it must be hard to use the restroom without help..and then struggling with pantyhose... i can just see myself falling in the toilet.

side note... do we literally have to have someone in the bathroom with us to hold our dress up when we use the restroom?? someone mentioned that i have to pick a 'lucky' bridesmaid to be my bathroom buddy... eww lol

Yes!!!!!!! My 2nd MOH was in charge of that!!! Thankfully the only time I went was right before DH and I left for home that night.

I hear ya about the thighs sticking together. However, I have a little trick for you that will help that. One of my college roommates told this trick and it works. Rub baby powder on your inner thighs. I guess the powder absorbs the moisture. I do this every time I wear a skirt during the summer and my thighs don't stick together.

oh jeez... i hate panty hose too... however, i might have to battle my mother on this one! she is so old school---she can't understand why I don't wear hose under my jeans in the winter to 'keep me warm.' I am getting married in february so I know I will hear her going on about wearing 'the proper foundations!' haha... but i think i am going to forget them...the dress and slip are heavy enough!

I did not wear pantyhose. I never even thought about it, I wore open toe'd shoes. Pantyhose just would not have worked.

I didn't wear stockings for my wedding and was very happy with that decision. I am usually pretty cold to the touch but that day I was kinda hot on the dancefloor so happy not to have them. Also I never once felt uncomfortable without them. Bathroom was easier - DH actually helped me hop into and out of my dress.

I'm not wearing them on my wedding day. And you should do whatever you want on that day, no matter what. I think it would be more tacky to wear the pantyhose & sweat your patooties off!

I've been a bathroom buddy - you will certainly appreciate it when you have on this big a** gown and you're trying to not to let any of it drop in the toilet!
