I might splurge on one as an X-Mas gift to myself and FH lol and I really wanna research before I go out and buy it. Right now Im really interested in a Phillips.

Fh always tells me Plasma's arent good. He says the HDTV LCD's are good. I dont know exactly why though.

I have a Samsung 42' plasma in my room. I absolutely love it...it's mounted on the wall.
We also have a Samsung 52' LCD downstairs in the living room on a stand.
Between the 2 I actually enjoy my plasma better. The picture to me is amazing.

I have an Aquos. I think that's Sharp...... Anyway, it's LCD, 46' I think. We've had it now for 2 years I think......we love it. FBIL also has the same one. It came very highly rated and when we went shopping around at first, it was the one that the salespeople in Best Buy and PC Richard recommended. Good Luck!

We have a 52 inch (or 50, can't remember) panasonic plasma and we love it.
The picture is amazing, totally worth the splurge!

I HAVE sharp aquos in the Living room, and forgot what i have in the bedroom
i think the one in the LR is 60inch, is there a 60inch lol if not then 50-something

I've always been told Plasma isn't good. FH got a 47' LCD/HDTV made by Vizio a few months ago. It's really nice!

Sony Phillips and Sharp are good

We have the philips 52 LCD .. Love it
Plasma's have good pictures but make sure you get the service plan, because if one crystal breaks your entire picture won't look good, and it costs soo much money to get fixed

we have 2 one vizio and one mitsubishi the vizio is 47' and the mitsubishi is 53 FH loves them both

FH was going to get the Phillips but the picture was much better on the Vizio so he went with that.

We splurged on a 46' Samsung LCD when Best Buy was having a special promotion for $300 off some of the high end TVs. It's 1080p (which is important if you have a PS3 or Bluray player) and I think there were 2 types of resolutions and we got the better one. FH knows what that means..
It's seriously amazing and while I definitely didnt think we needed one I'm really glad we got it.
