not to be a snotball but this is why i booked all of my vendors in the winter following my engagement, of course i had a VERY long engagement so that is why i had that option BUT since i booked everyone in the offpeak wedding season ( i dont mean your wedding has to be off peak, just when you book ) all of my vendors got back to me right away, i was able to immediately make appts with them and complete the booking.

I booked Jenn AND Oksana last January for my January 2008 wedding and every time I mailed them they got back to me within days. Now that it is prime wedding season I have not really bugged any of my vendors but I will start calling again once October/November hits ( I have all of my vendors book already - just for follow ups)

*Just a tip for girls who are earlier in their planning!

Geez these vendors have lives (Family, personal issues , etc...)They are Human too....and do other things besides work....As you do too....

i'm having my bridezilla moment and want the vendors i want at my beck and call i NEVER bashed them...i just said i'm not using jenn the hair genie b/c she didn't reply to my email fast enough. that's all.

no offense...but i would never wait one week for a vendor to return my call.

yea....i always want revenge! it's a horrible trait that i have. but honestly, i'm not using her for your wedding..i'll just go to a salon around your house. not a big deal.

perhaps she read your email and ANSWERED but forgot to hit send.

How long did it take Oksana to get back to you when you initially emailed her. I emailed her almost a week ago and i havent heard back yet. I have to agree with Diamond i cant stand when people dont get back to you in a timely manor


Well i am editing this because i have now read all these posts. I still agree with you Diamond because when your willing to spend a pretty penny you expect a response especially if the person has read the email.

Obviously people all have their own opinions and i dont think you were trashing her just saying that you wont use her.

Unfortunately some people take things the wrong way and things get blown out of proportion. Everyone should remember that you are allowed to post your opinions on here. No need to tell Diamond she is wrong and she shouldnt expect vendors to kiss her rear lol because quite franklly when you are spending a lot of money and you are paying for it out of your own pocket that is what some people expect.

I have to say i am a bit aggrivated that i havent heard back from Oksana. If she does get back to me and i havent booked a make up artist i may consider her but i am not going to wait around and hope that i hear back from her either.

If you want a recommendation for hair let me know I havent booked them yet but i will be soon.

I emailed Jen monday, still nothing. it's okay, whatever. it just made my decision easier, that's all. i never emailed oksana.

I hate it when I called or email a vendor and they take days to call back. I always feel like I shouldn't have to force someone to take my business.
One of the vendors that I booked with, got me with her professionalism. She literally called me 10 minutes after I send her an email and was very impressed because she is very popular on this board. To top it all she was early at our meeting too. I feel comfortable with her and she will not be one of the vendors that I'm going to worry about much the day of.

i've booked every vendor except for limo so far....every single one i've booked on professionalism as well as quality of work. it's so important to find both in a vendor. i completely agree with you.

i have emailed both of them on several occassions and BOTH of them got back to me in 2 days or less
Jenn is away until the 22nd but i also think that email is NOT always the best way to go
oksana's computer crashed a few days ago so it doesnt hurt to use the old fashioned telephone

jenn is sick. she emailed me today. i already went for one trial and really didnt like it at all (pics in album). so i e-mailed her about rescheduling, and i asked if she could do 2 styles this time (one all up and one 1/2 up 1/2 down) and idk if she's gonna do that. I already paid for one trial, plus extensions, and i tipped both of them very nicely....i hope she will do both for me. If not i might try to find someon else bc i'm not sure of what i want and to me i think the whole point of a trial is to see which i like better. i can't keep dropping 50 everytime i want to see something. And yes, it takes forever for them to respond to email but eventually they get back to u.

yea, no response and it's been three days...i'm totally not going with her. we are all busy but one email doesn't kill someone. even a one liner saying, i'm extremely busy but will email you when i get a chance. if and when i get a response, i'm just hitting that DELETE button. bridezilla to the MAX!
