I've only seen it done once - and that was a southern bride.

It isnt' a tradition in either of our families.

Basically the bride (and sometimes the groom) gets on the dance floor, and everyone pays a dollar (or more, if they like) to dance with them for a few seconds. some people think its... well... a bit tacky. (Honestly the one time I saw it, it was very nice - and it was a good opportunity to spend a few seconds alone with the bride or groom, who ewere otherwise surrounded the whole time.

Funny Story,

I saw maybe it was on TLC a greek bride and they did the dollar dance. One of the groomsmen was using a broom to push the money aside the money that came unpinned from the bride. PILES AND PILES of it I kid you not!! It was crazy, but it looked like it was fun!!
