Old Field Club - input please

Has anyone checked out the Old Field Club? How is it? Good, Bad, Old, Quaint? Any input is much appreciated. Any similiar venues that you know of? Thanks!

Do a search on Oldfield Club there's been some postings in the past few weeks that I'm sure will help you out. I posted a review as a guest - I was an excellent location for a wedding! Great food!

I`m getting married there Oct 2002

I`ve only heard great things, except it's only for smaller weddings. I think the max should be 140 or so. If you`re planning a smaller wedding, it`s a great place. It`s right on the inlet to the sound, so you can have an outdoor coctkail hour outside on their 2 decks. It is slightly more expensive than your average hall, but you only have to guarantee 100 on a Sat night, and they don`t tack on a gratuity - that`s up to you. The Old Field Club is beautiful...a great quaint location..and right on a creek..outside decks..good food..but depending on the size of your wedding, I think you mentioned you are having about 200 guests..they might say they can do up to 200 or more..but I think their dance floor is tiny..and even the room would be tight for a large wedding..so take that into consideration. Did you check out Port Jeff Country Club..very nice..and I love our place..Giorgio's!! Good Luck...do your sisters fly in today??)

yup, the sisters fly in tonight. I'm willing to cut back on the guest list - I never wanted it to be that big. Thanks for the feedback.
