Well, FH and I are still on the hunt for 'the' RH.
I love the look of the Old Field Club, but it is just to far for some of our very important family members to travel, so we have to limit our search to an area more accessible to queens.
Does anyone know of an RH that has that type of look in either Nassau County, Queens, Bronx or even Westchester??
TIA.....
ETA: for approx. 150 guests.

Whoops. I meant old field CLUB.

Try looking at pics of the Foundry in LIC. Its similar to what you describe as wanting but also has a bit of a different look still

Try the Sans Succi. It has a similar feel, but it is overlooking a main road. However, it is very pretty and has the same simple elegance of the OFC!

What about the Nassau County Bar Association in MIneola. One of their rooms is stunning and the food is excellent. If you like outside or in a tent I beleive the Queens Botanical Gardens does weddings. There's also the BoatHouse in Prospect Park Brooklyn which i would have loved to have my wedding there but i needed it to be in nassau.

I have two recs of places we looked:
Stewart Manor Country Club - very similar, but of course not as scenic.
The Harvest on Hudson - i LOVE this place but they only do dayitme weddings. It's worth looking into!!

Re: old field club-look in nassau/queens/westchester
We had the same problem that we needed a place near Queens so our guests would not have to travel far from the church. We are planning on having between 120-150.
Some places we looked at in nassau and liked were:
Stewart Manor (we booked here!) SandCastle (our #2 but we had to guarantee 150 and at that time the price was alittle more then we budgeted but it includes a honeymoon to Greece) Westbury Manor San Souci (the dance floor is the cocktail room but in nice weather the cocktail hour is outside)
We did not book but my brother had is wedding at Coral House (reasonable and includes the centerpieces) and future sister-in-law had hers at Leonard's (its really reasonable).

I think the Bourne Mansion and the NYIT location (I think DeSeversky Center?) where I've seen some brides on here have receptions have a similar feel. Also the Riviera in Massapequa has somewhat of that atmosphere too.

That picture looks a lot like the picnic house in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. It is pretty for a wedding I think of 150 people or less.
