Oh Kerri ... don't let the stress get to you! Sh*t happens and it seems like nothing is going the way you want it to ... but keep your eyes on the prize - you get to marry FH in a month! You will get there!!!

I'm so sorry you're going through this.

It's so odd how it seems that people just want to annoy the hell out of you when you're trying to plan a wedding. I always thought brides were just over the top, but now that I am one I know for sure that some people are messed up. It's like they are TRYING to rain on your parade.

Don't let them. It's not worth it. Let them all do what they want and the people that truly want to be there for you on your big day will be right where you need them to be.

Chin up, date twin. Please don't wish away your wedding

I TOTALLY know how you feel! i was like that the last 2 weeks before my wedding!
Try not to stress...easier said than done! but in the end your day is going to be perfect!!! and it will all be worth it! i PROMISE!!!

I found out about the BM Wed night. I was appauled but could deal with it. Yesterday started off great!! We did our epics and got the marriage license and then once my grandmother was thrown into the mix for the tasting... it just went downhill from there... and it seem to keep going downhill!!!

When everything starts to get to me, I just try to remember one thing: at the end of my wedding day, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I will be married to my best friend and the love of my life. Thats whole point of everything.

No matter what, your day will be beautiful and on November 6th you will officially be a wife to the man of your dreams.

I am so sorry you are upset. I completely understand its a very frustrating and stressful time.

As for not meeting your minimum we are in the same position. Many people that we thought were coming said no. Either they decided to plan a vacation or do something else. It seems as if they were waiting to see if there was something else to do that day.

Some of my friends and FH's friends said No and FH's godparents aren't going either! FH was really pissed.

And some of my vendors are pissing me off.

Go get a manicure and pedicure hopefully it will try to take your mind off of things. Or watch the episode on line of The Office last night at least it will make you laugh.

heres my advice.....stop worrying about the empty seats. You will not care the day of...yes it is money you are going to pay for nothing but it will not change how wonderful day is going to be. ANd as for the BM drama.....if it is really bad tell them not to show up. If it is small stuff try to ignore it. As far as the family BS....you need to put your foot down. I would flat out say 'cut the sh!+....this is how the day is going and if you dont like it don't show' My guess is alot of it will end.


Once people know you wont stand for the BS it tends to end.

Kerry I understand selfish grandparents. My grandfather left the church immediately after the ceremony instead of staying through the receiving line. He said to my Uncle that Alla (his caretaker) had to get home to change, but he is always using her as the excuse to do what he wants. Because of that I didn't get one picture with him. Which he is mad about now.

Then he had called my mom about a month before the wedding to announce he was singing Daddy's Little Girl at my reception. My mom told him no, because that song was my Dad and my big moment. During the dance he actually started screaming at my mom telling her 'I'll never forgive you for this.' My poor mom is trying to enjoy a special moment and he is screaming at her.

Unfortunately people will be selfish, its human nature. Then add to that age, bad traits are magnified with age. You have to roll with it and remember its your day and you are getting to marry your FH.


As for the girl whose wedding you went to. You don't know what is going on and why she isn't coming, she could have another commitment on that day, so try not to let that one bother you.

Aww Kerri… I know it ***** now, but guarantee that on the day of your BEAUTIFUL wedding you’ll be able to look around and realize it was all worth it.

Your grandfather is def special like my grandmother.
She caused such a fight yesterday I can't even get into it. But it was bad. She's such a nag too. It's really the reason why no one wants to be around her. Sad but in her 83 years of living... she never learned once that her bad attitude is that cause for no one liking her or wanting to be around her.

I don't think she had another commitment.

Some people are flaky. She's one of them. A part of me expected it.
