Old post: bumped to give update!
I am soooooooo excited!!!!!!! I can't believe it came so fast! I am also having my make-up done by my friend who will most likely be doing my wedding day make-up. I'm really excited about that too!!!
I need to vent a little bit though. Ppl can be sooo rude. Okay, so I didn't invite any kids to the e-party (as well as the wedding). The place I'm having it only holds 100 ppl, and with just adults I ended up inviting 120![]()
So it worked out, and last week, with everyone responding I had 93 ppl coming. It was a great number I was very relieved it worked out. Then the calls started coming in.
My cousin has a 2 month old baby, has no one to watch him, I'm a sucker, can't say no, and figure really he's only a baby, he's not taking up any room or anything, so ok you can bring him, but don't tell anyone b/c I don't want ppl calling me asking if they can bring their kids.
Then I go to a bbq last weekend and FH's family from Ireland are in, and they give us BEAUTIFUL Waterford champagne flutes! We were so shocked they gave us a gift, and it was my first time meeting them, they were so sweet, but they are here with their 3 girls (11-15). When the bbq was over my FMIL says that perhaps we should invite them, and I was wary b/c I didn't want to hear it from my side of the family that other kids were there. I said it was a good idea though, we really did appreciate the gift, and they don't come here very often at all, so FH invited them.
Next, my aunt and uncle who live upstate called. They originally weren't coming, and had already sent a gift and everything. She then calls up and says, oh guess what, we can come (they have a 5 year old), but we have to bring Ali, we have no one to watch her. My mother, who was the one on the phone, felt very put on the spot, and didn't know how to say no. Mind you, this kid is a brat! She's the type who runs around and screams and throws a tantrum if she's told to stop. So when my mother called me I was mortified to say the least. I think it is so rude that ppl have the audacity to ask, when they damn well know I'm not having any kids. So now they are coming, plus my uncle's first daughter who is close to my age, which I don't mind at all, it's 5 year old Ali that's pissing me off. They better not pull this crap with my wedding, b/c it's not happening!
Wait there's more! Not even an hour ago, my cousin calls me and says that his wife's niece is staying with them (she's 12), and would it be ok if they brought her! I don't even know this girl!!! What are ppl thinking?! I had to say no. I feel really bad, but you know you have an e-party to go to, why invite someone to stay with you. Then my cousin's wife has the nerve to text me and tell me she is now not coming b/c she doesn't want to leave her niece. Meanwhile, my cousin's wife's father is going to be home, and some of her sisters will be home. It just makes no sense! It was like she texted me just to make me feel guilty. I'm like I don't understand why you can't come when your entire family is home.
Ugh!!!! This was such a stress-free process up until abt a week ago. I just hope everything works out tomorrow, and no one gives me any sh!t about kids being there. I just hope I have a really good time, and forget about all of this stress I'm under!

UPDATE!!: THE KIDS AT THE PARTY WASN'T TOO HORRIBLE. ACTUALLY IN RE-READING THIS, MORE PPL ENDED UP CALLING AFTER THAT TO BRING THEIR KIDS, I EVENTUALLY HAD TO SAY YES TO EVERYONE. ONLY 6 KIDS WERE THERE IN TOTAL THOUGH. A FEW WERE RUNNING AROUND, BUT THERE WERE NO CATASTROPHIES, SO IT WORKED OUT. AHHH I HAVE NOT BEEN ON SINCE JUNE 26TH!! OVERALL THE PARTY WAS EXCELLENT, MY SIL'S MOTHER TOOK ALL OF THE PICS FOR US AND I'M GETTING THEM ON SATURDAY, I CAN'T WAIT!! I WILL POST THEM SOON.
