Old Skool R&B/Motown - Must Have Songs!

I'm trying to come up with a list of good old school R&B, motown songs for the reception. Fast and/or slow songs....

Any suggestions?

I'm big into oldies and ol' skool, know I definitely want some Zapp & Roger a lot ( More ounce to the bounce) , Anita Ward, Lyn Collins, Chaka Khan, Gap Band, Shalamar (a night to remember), Madonna, Shannon (Let the music play), Frankie Beverly (Before I let go),
and a whole bunch more.

You asked the right question . . .the Motown era is the early 60's, and I grew up listening since Mom was a HUGE Smokey fan, and probably has every record (yes, 'record') put out by Motown records . . . .

Give me a day or so, and I'll provide a list to die for. And thank Mom for it, not me . . . it's all my iPod, but Mom is definitely to thank for knowing that Gladys, not Marvin, is the original 'Heard it Through the Grapevine' . . . and loving Marvin, Gladys' version is better!

My wedding song list is made up of TONS of Motown . . . . I'll share when I get some time to FM you the full list!!!
