YES my DH and I kept saying that the other night in the team competition..she looks like she might break..no muscles at all!!!!!
Very gangly...Guess they don't feed them in Russia....

Yeah, she looks really akward. Especially when she's on the uneven bars. I kept thinking she was gonna kick the lower bar when she was flipping on the top one.

i'm so happy for carly. i am a huge gymnastics fan. i even attended olympic trials in california in june. carly is such a sweet girl (i met her briefly at another meet) and she really deserved this. plus it will do wonders for gymnastics in the us

i think the girls are amazing! i don't like that russian one though...she should be a dancer or a model...she's so tall and thin...i don't think she's a particularly fantastic gymnist.

everyone in the Media keeps calling her graceful and I JUST DON'T SEE IT! Maybe if she was a dancer, but when she tumbles she just looks all lanky and awkward. Gymnatics is about grace in tumbling AND dancing! UGH!

I could not agree more about that Russian 'diva' .. she is the furthest thing from graceful , IMO. So skinny and downright frail looking... I saw NO definition or muscle tone, whereas the other gymnasts , whilet petite, were so powerful & strong
And that perpetual frown on her face and POOR ATTITUDE, how pathetic DH couldn't even stand to watch any longer she so annoyed him.
Congrats to OUR HOMEGIRL, CARLY!

well whatever you say and think about Khorkina you have to give her credit for a long and great career... also dont forget that a lot of moves (or whatever they are called) on uneven bars are named after her...

And is it just me or is Paul Hamm a cutie and a half? (or a double cutie, considering he's a twin!)

Paul Hamm is very cute, but his voice is SO nasal!!!
I loved watching last night's competition. I agree that Khorkina does not look like the typical gymnast, but I still think she is VERY talented. She definitely has more of a dancer's body though.

I am very happy for Carly Patterson!!! And I do actually think that Svetlana Khorkina is one of the great gymnasts. I think she is beautiful to watch on the uneven bars and the floor. She is a however not the most sportsmanly competitor.
