DH and I found out back in May that we were being permanently stationned in Fort Hood, Texas (after Georgia for about 9 months). It wasnt even in our top 10....we hated the idea of Texas. Our first choice had been North Carolina, where one of our friends got stationned, but unfortunately, we didnt get it.
Well....last night DH got an email back from a General in NC who said he was going to work on a 'by-name-request' for DH and I to get moved to NC I cant even begin to explain how thrilled we are right now. Its not 100% yet (until we get the paperwork) but its a huge step in the right direction. I'm so freakin excited -- we may get our 1st choice afterall!!!!!!! Then we can start house-hunting in NC for next spring
Thanks to all you girls who kept your fingers crossed for us back in May....looks like it worked!
