OMG!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!

I live in Massapequa Park, NY and the wind was so bad lastnight that across the street from me a huge oak tree fell right out of the ground taking power lines with it. Thank god nobdy got hurt. It fell into the street. I was so mad at first b/c we were almost ready to leave the house to go into the city for a bday party i went to turn off the bathroom light and before i could all the lights went out. I heard screaming outside and that's when i saw the tree. i wish i took a picture of it it was so big. We were able to get off our block. We weren't suppose to drive down the block b/c there were power lines in the street but the police officer let us go. We got bad to our house at 5:30am and the power was still out we froze in our house until 6:15 finally when the heat came back on. Just wanted to let u guys know what a crazy night we had.

I am south of sunrise highway. I live on avoca ave off of park blvd. the tree fell on park blvd.

That's crazy - but I DID hear that wind last night - my screen door in the front was opening by itself and the puppy starting barking at it. I had to close and lock it so it didn't blow away.

During the week over by me the same things happened (on Hicksville Rd & Jerusalem) they had to shut down the HIcksville Rd from Jerusalem down a few blocks south b/c a tree right by the Carvel fell into a house over there.

This wind has been crazy!

I am in Massapequa as well, we had 8 oaks on our property that we cut down when we moved in.

I am sure if they were still up, with that wind last nite they would of fallen im sure.

That is soooo scary, we had a natural gas generator installed in our house so when the power goes out, it kicks on automatically!
