Congrats on the closing of your home! I will say, our closing was rescheduled 3 times before we finally closed on our house. Once you do, it's quite surreal.

We looked for 2 yrs so I feel like a pro lmao. If I may give u some advice.... I found more houses were on the market in the summer, but they were higher in price bc they know that people with kids want to get thier kids in a new school at the beginning of the school year so they r likely to pay more. With that said house prices drop in the winter! Most people don't want to move in the winter or around the holidays ( I don't either but I want the house more lol) Lastly, the whole process from offer to closing is typically 3-4 months sometimes longer....so if you start looking in jan 2016 find something in feb you will have so much paper work and stuff with the mortgage people and attorney on top of all your wedding stuff! That's gonna be hard on you I think. We went on what I said was our last outing when we found 3 houses in one day that we had to decide which to put an offer in on! I said after mid oct we would have to wait till after the wedding bc we were 5 months out from that time!! Hope that helps!!

Thank you for sharing! I'm thinking we should probably start seriously looking at the end of next summary then! I look at Zillow almost everyday! lol

I used redfin the app is the most user friendly and updates first. . If anyone is looking in the commack, kings park or surrounding areas I have a great agent if u need.

I'd stay away from Zillow. They aren't accurate with their tax information. Redfin is a little better.
I always recommend MLSLI.com to look at all the listings. This is where all the official realtor listings are.
If you need a real estate agent, I have very good one. He helped us out a lot. He met up with us for pretty much every appointment (even ones during the week), checked into houses for us especially if we weren't sure if we should take the trip to view it, helped us when it came time to negotiate with the sellers.
