Did you read the article. The couple was robbed/mugged & both shot. She was killed. She was a DR. They say she is the 10th person killed this year.

Oh no!!! Im going there also for my honeymoon. Thankfully not the same resort. This is so sad to hear especially since they were newlyweds

I know. I was so sad when I read that. I am also freaking out because I go on my honeymoon next week. We're not going to Antigua but still you're at risk anywhere you go. It's also that these tourist areas are in really poor countries. These people get desparate and see tourists with a lot of money. It is sooooo scary!

Im freaking out too! I can't believe this would happen, and never realized how often it happens. I am going to Antigua next month, but now I am thinking about it twice.

I read this also. It was posted on NW board. This is so sad. I can't even imagine, but as sad as it is, it can happen anywhere! That is the scary part.

ohh woww!!!! It's soooo sad....I can't imagine how their family is feeling....damn. Now that makes me think twice about going on vacation to those type of island... :'(

I wouldnt re-arrange your trips if you have plans to go there...this can happen anywhere. Look what happened awhile back in Aruba......the girl that went missing on her HS trip? People still go there. This can happen anywhere.......I personally wouldnt worry to much about it. Just be cautious wherever you go thats all.
