Police hunt thieves who took wedding money

CHARLEVOIX -- Police are looking for thieves who stole a wedding card box Saturday from the reception center at Castle Farms. Ashley and Ryan Kickentvled were celebrating their marriage when someone made off with the cards and cash, state police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police post in Petoskey: (231) 347-8101, ext. 817.

it seems like we are hearing about that wayyyyyyy too often lately.... part of me doesn't want a card box....
but I am NOT going to cary a bag!!!!

hey if they can put lojack on laptops now they can sell us one for our card boxes

my cousins who live in Canada were telling me that they have to hire security guards at weddings over there to watch the money box.

In Canada, they give the envelopes at the beginning of the wedding as you arrive, you also greet the bride and groom and right before they make their grand entrance, the security guards, in an armed car, take the card box to the bank -- isn't that insane? they said that some weddings have been held up and all the money has been stolen

I always thought that it was something people might do... like take an envelope or two... or even the whole thing - think about how much money is there!

FH always tells me a story about his friend's wife who did not let go of her money purse all night at the weddign. i used to laugh like who would take it.....hmmmmmi guess i better re-think that now
