Re: OMG!! GREAT DEAL!! SCRAPBOOKERS!~ FOR MARNLES

OK - i'm clueless - what exactly is the deal with scrapbooking? Is it just for pictures??

Re: OMG!! GREAT DEAL!! SCRAPBOOKERS!~ FOR MARNLES

It's a way of incorporating your pictures along with journaling to record special moments, emotions, quotes, etc and then decorating the pages with embellishments like the ones pictured (stickers, die cuts, fibers, frames and so on)

Re: OMG!! GREAT DEAL!! SCRAPBOOKERS!~ FOR MARNLES

It was creative something or other...can't remember. My mil went to a craft fair in forest hills and got a flyer, so we went on friday in flushing. It was basically like a tupperware party, but for scrapbooking!! But we got to use the tools and stuff, and my mil bought them so i have to go over to her house to do it!!

Re: OMG!! GREAT DEAL!! SCRAPBOOKERS!~ FOR MARNLES

yep - that was it! I didn't buy the blades or the patterns, my MIL did. Do you think they sell that stuff at Michael's? I can see me becoming addicted, I'm just so low on time with house work and stuff...and right now I'm waiting for the album, so I'm pretty much at a stand still. Glad to know Michaels has all that good stuf...I'm actually going there after work today (you go to the one in westbury right?)

Re: OMG!! GREAT DEAL!! SCRAPBOOKERS!~ FOR MARNLES

Yes I go to Westbury and Levittown, i like westbury MUCH better.
They have cutters but the one that i used from creative was much better..

but i did buy the fiskars paper slicer (it was like that little mini paper cutter they had) and the paper was a great deal. and I went to target and they had albums and adhesive MUCH cheaper.. you know the adhesive that looks like the white out machine? they had that at target for 3.99

I have already done a 40 page album... i love it!!

I bought the dragonfly paper punch a special pen.. stickers!! i could go on and on!

Re: OMG!! GREAT DEAL!! SCRAPBOOKERS!~ FOR MARNLES

You lost me on th adhesive. The only thing she used was this tape dispenser looking thingy...which looked really cool too!! So I guess I should order the blades and whatnot from the creative memories website then huh?

Re: OMG!! GREAT DEAL!! SCRAPBOOKERS!~ FOR MARNLES

About a year ago I decided to make my FH a scrapbook for our year anniversary. I love scrapbooking and would be interested in going to a party if anyone has one. I buy from a local scrapbooking store and also from creative memories. I think they have really good products.

Suzanne- I love the circle cutter and the corner rounder. I also bought the square puncher which is great. It makes two different size squares.
