OMG. Groomsmen vent! Am I wrong here?
I am sooo annoyed.
First of all, FH's best man is totally disinterested. Like hasn't said anything about the wedding, hasn't tried to initiate anything for the bachelor party or whatever. We were thinking of doing a joint thing. So I emailed him last week with all the groomsmen's info to try to nudge him. He said he'd reach out over the weekend. He didn't. I'm antsy, so I just emailed the entired Bridal party like 'Look, we were thinking of a jack and jill, we were thinking of this date, what do you think?'
So one of the groomsmen (one of MY best friends) who has actually been the most gung-ho about the bachelor party is totally pizzing me off. He says he can't do the weekend we picked because it will most likely be his nephew's birthday party. I get that his niece and nephew are a priority. But I said, well can you ask your brother when it will be for sure? He said it will definitely be that weekend because that's what he picked last year. So I said can you ask if it will be Saturday or Sunday, because if it's going to be Sunday we can work around it (We're trying to go away for the weekend). he said there's no point in asking because his brother won't decide until a few weeks before and doesn't know the day now. So I'm like, well could you explain the situation.. He's like he doesn't care, there are 20 relatives coming to the party and blah blah.
I'm getting pizzed here. I'm trying to work the schedules of a dozen other people around HIM. He won't even ask his brother at all. He's assuming his brother won't cooperate and yet he's willing to ditch us for the brother. I feel like we're trying to plan in advance, so he should ASK the brother and if the brother won't cooperate he should tell the brother he has a prior engagement. Instead he's telling me not to be surprised when he can't come when he finds out 2 weeks before that it's the nephew's birthday.
I don't even know what to say at this point. Why is it so effing hard to ASK
