omg i am totally slacking...

my wedding is 2 months and 10 days away...

FH and I closed on our house on the 1st, and all our free time has been devoted to everything house related.

i have not thought about the wedding in about a month. I still have all the DIY crap to do (making chocolate favors, making the table #s, place cards eventually...)

I had planned on buying matchbooks and other little crap from the knot, but now my money can go into the house instead of on all small garbage for the wedding...

the wedding is not my priority anymore. i am excited, don't get me wrong... but i'm trying not to sweat the small stuff, but am now afraid that i'm not sweating enough and it'll all fall apart...

At least you have an excuse, we didnt buy a house and Im also still slacking lol

Dont worry- just any free time you have, def. get on it and in the end you will get everything done.

oh a ps - we still don't have internet hooked up (or cable for that matter) so i haven't even logged on to this site in forever.

i need to get into wedding mode, not just new home owner mode...

I wouldn't worry about it -- you're right, the wedding day will be spectacular and amazing! All that stuff is gravy... and sometimes too much gravy spoils the meal!

I am in the same boat as you! Ive been doing the house thing and still waiting on a closing date, so ive been doing all that stuff and neglecting my wedding tasks. Then I will see a post on here or get a letter in the mail from a vendor and then it dawns on me, 'dumbass you are getting married! Get on those DIY projects and finalize your plans with your vendors!!'


I am the same way with spending extra money on cr@p. I was going to do OOT boxes, buy matchbooks, napkins, etc and I just do not see the point in it if I can use that money towards buying something nice for the house. I mean are people even going to notice if I do not have napkins with our names on them?? I dont even want to spend any more money on this wedding if i do not have to.

I'm at a stand still....i'm starting a new job in 2 weeks. I have been laid off for a while, and the funds were low. I'm going to have to play catch up and learn a new industry for my sales position...while meeting a QUOTA.

I feel ya....life is hectic
