So, I'm in graduate school (in class right now..ha). First of all I've been teaching a bunch of fourth graders all day (I'm tired!) now I have class. I was walking out of my Ethics class and the prof. walked out behind me. She says 'Oh boy Krystal when are you due?' (All I could think was I know she's not asking me what I think she's asking).
So I said, 'Excuse me?' She said, 'When is your baby due?' I looked her dead in the face and said, 'Oh, I'm not pregnant perhaps you just think I'm fat!'
I weigh 165 and i don't look partcularly large today lol.
She giggled and said, 'OMG, I just keeping having so many students who get pregnant during the semester.' NO APOLOGY. Can you believe her? My friend just said don't worry it's b/c she just got here from Dublin. NO excuse.

do we just lead parallel lives?! one of the maintenance guys asked me this the other day. he was all sa i havent seen you in a while whens the baby due?.....i mean i was wearing large scrubs and all but i dont look pregos....people are just rude.

ok, that totally happened to me.... when I was 21 I worked in a department store while an undergrad, and apparently a rumor started that I was pregnant.... I was 5'9' and 140 lbs at the time!!!
The rumor probably started becuase I gained 8 lbs over the winter... Prior to that, I was essentially underweight... so I guess normal weight ment prego to them
don't worry about it.... it's rude, and she stuck her foot in her mouth. at least it wasn't a dozen people like in my situation

oh yeah, as for the ethics part.... you should notify your ethics prof that she should know better to ask a woman if she's pregnant before the head is emerging from her body

That's so rude! I'm so sorry that happened to you! I never say anything unless I'm 100% certain the woman is pregnant because I'd be so embarrassed. I can't believe she didn't even apologize!

Omg!! And this is an ethics professor, how ethical was THAT??
Rule of thumb: Never, EVER, ask a woman when she's due unless she's TOLD you that she's pregnant. Why is that so difficult for people to live by??
