OMG, I might not make my minimum...

My wedding is at the Estate at East Wind and the minimum is 150. Right now we are only at 130! The only people left to respond are mostly expected no's. I think we'll hit 140. What do I do? Can we negotiate for a lower minimum or is it too late? I can't believe I might have to pay for 10 people that aren't there....

Is there any one else you were thinking of inviting. Send out some extras invites and get those seats full with people you thing who might want to come. Or perhaps let others bring guest. If worse comes to worse tell them that you expected more can you neg. something with them better to do early.

We might not make our minimum as well so if that happens we are going to be asking my brothers and sister if they want any of their friends to come.

Try to negotiate a lower minimum. If they won't budge, get them to throw in some extras...Hope everything works out!

Have you included your vendors? Maybe they will thrw something in for you?!?!? Hope it works out for you!

We didn't make our minimum of 250, we had 238 and our RH totally threw in extras. You should ask 'what if' and see what they say. You can also include your vendors too.

we are under our minimum but our RH let us use half the difference towards food upgrades.

I forgot about the vendors! Even with the vendors, we still won't make it past 144ish, because we only have a DJ, MC, photo and video (florist is a friend). Am I forgetting anyone?
It's good to know that we can try to get extras (like food) thrown in. FH loves negotiating, so I'm going to leave that part up to him.

BTW, we invited 203! For some reason, a lot of FH's extended family is not attending.

If you don't have a B List ask them to compensate you by using some food upgrades. I am sure they will work with you somehow!

Dont worry it will work out, did you include your vendors in that amount, if worse comes to worse, you may have to pay full amount for them in order to meet your minimum.

I thought the minimum for the Estate was 200?? Did they lower it for you? If not, maybe they could do something for you.

I would ask my brother or sister if they have any dear friends they would like to include.

Negotiate with the east wind for some extras... like a sushi bar, or veinese hour (no idea how to spell that).... more than likely you will have to pay up to the minimum but if you get some cool things for it helps.

I neg with EW my min was 200 now 185. I am inviting 260 and I have a B List.

Im not going to make my minimum either-by like 10-12 people-thats $1320 + t/g that I am paying for nothing. When I asked the BM the other night if the hall will throw anything in, she looked at me like I had 4 heads! She said she's never heard of this before but will look into it
