OMG, I think I forgot to tell you the oddest message that we had waiting for us when we got back from our HM!

OMG, I think I forgot to tell you the oddest message that we had waiting for us when we got back from our HM!

So originally we visited a few judges before deciding on our officiant. One of the other judges seemed very nice, but a little confused. When we showed up at his house for the appointment, he didn't remember ever talking to us on the phone. Well, we ended up going with the other judge, but I was sure to call this one to tell him. He said that was fine and wished us happiness. So fast forward to after our HM. We got to MD and listened to our messages. A message was left for us 11am on June 17th OUR WEDDING DAY from the judge we didn't choose saying that he hurt his back and wouldn't be able to make it to the wedding! Apparently he must have never taken us out of his datebook. Could you imagine if he showed up at the wedding? We would have had 2 judges and a very awkward situation!! I did call him back and said that everything worked out, we had another judge perform the ceremony. I didn't think I needed to tell him that we didn't choose him in the first place. I didn't want him to feel bad. But that was so wierd. Completely did NOT expect that message on our answering machine!

Whoa!!! I don't know what's worse, the fact that he would have showed up if he wasn't hurt or the fact that he wouldn't have made it if you had booked him!!!

Either way it would have been screwed up, so it must have been fate it worked out the way it did!!

But he really does need to get on the ball!!

One of the things that made us go with the other judge was that he told us that he has several other judge friends that fill in for each other in the event of an emergency, so that he is always covered.

Poor guy. He probably has Alshiemers or senility. You would think someone would notice it and try to help him out. Like the other priests in the convent.....or wherever they live!
