watching this Oprah special about her school in South Africa - it is amazing!!
of course im looking at it as an educator, but I am crying my eyes out!!!!

yes there are parts that are sad - the reality of their lives BUT, it is so inspirational and it shows you how these young women overcome so many obstacles - they have HOPE, where they could have just given up

this is what people need to see now when people are in areas or work or teach in certain areas and say 'How do they.....' maybe people will think about where they came from and how much better even the WORST neighborhood in NYC is than where they were
