I ordered invites early because they were 40% off, well, today I got the invites and this is what they say

Together with their families
Crystal
and
Jonathan
request the honour of your presence

reception immediately following

DO YOU SEE WHAT'S WRONG, please tell me NO! I can't get them to fix it, it was my mistake, I didn't see it on the proof

Don't sweat it-I didn't notice it until it was pointed out in a later post---I wouldn't spend $300 on an 'r' either!

I'd probably reorder..but it took me awhile to notice it myself Still, your wedding invite is a keepsake you kee forever.

No one in my graduating class (at a top HS) noticed that our diplomas said 'Stuyvesant High School of Science and Mathemetics' It took the class after us to realize it...so few people will notice..I don't know!

im on the fence with this one. i can see both sides. i think that i would re do them if it were me if i had the money but if your budget is tight and you cant come up with the extra 300 then i would leave it because it was just the caterers name that was spelled wrong and not yours or your fh. i think as the wedding gets closer you will looking for that extra 300 to use toward something else

Marymoon, that is so funny. My son graduated from Stuy also. I wonder if his is printed correctly. Did you graduate from the old school or the new one? What class was it?

I probobly would have never noticed! Even if they were my invitations! If it makes you feel better I spelled Farmingdale-Farmindale on our engagement invites. I don't think anybody will notice. Oh yeah, and on my dad's retirement cake, they wrote, Happy Retriement...and we didn't notice until we got the pictures developed. We just laughted :)

Did the printer send you a proof or is it their mistake?

I think there are 2 ways of looking at this:

1- order new invitations right away because you will obsess over them if you do not

2- chalk it up to a life lesson, something like 'things are never perfect', convince yourself its somehow endearing and leave as is

Whatever will make you happy is what matters!

OMG! I am slow but I didn't notice right away. I would NOT re-order but again, that is me and I am poor. If someone does notice, blame it on the printer and say you didn't notice until the invites were out and a guest noticed it and called you on it. AND not for nothing but I would have probably just thought the hall was spelled that way, again I am just slow!

OMG, ok i agree - don't reorder them yet. It's a lot of $$ to spend for 1 letter. DO call the invite company. A friend of mine got her invite with the name 'Michelle' missing an 'l'. It was entirely her fault but they replaced them for very little $. Her invites were something like $600 and she got new ones for $125 w/2 day shipping. It happens ALL the time! Don't stress!

I already called, I don't think they are going to do anything for me.. i already got a great deal. People I've shown haven't noticed, and half the people don't even know how it's spelled.. Thanks girls, but I don't care, it's not a big deal, i'm getting over it, you know what, that is how my life goes, so people can get a taste of my life

I'm so glad you are able to move past this - if people are like me & can't spell they'll probly think THEY'VE been spelling it wrong all along! One less thing to stress over!

I didn't see it right away BUT I think that if you paid for something, you should get what you paid for. Double check what you entered into their system and if you spelled it correctly, they should absolutely reprint these invites with no cost to you.

I would reorder, that would drive me nuts thinking that people would be talking about it.
Did you spell it wrong on any of the inserts? Couldn't you just reorder the invitation itself, no inserts, no extras, just use what you have already? That should save some money.
