I ordered invites early because they were 40% off, well, today I got the invites and this is what they say

Together with their families
Crystal
and
Jonathan
request the honour of your presence
as they exchange marriage vows
on the twelfth day of March two thousand and five
at seven o'clock in the evening
The Estate at East Wind Cateres
Wading River, New York

reception immediately following

DO YOU SEE WHAT'S WRONG, please tell me NO! I can't get them to fix it, it was my mistake, I didn't see it on the proof

I did have to read it twice to find it, but that's after someone said that it was a spelling mistake. I relaly don't know what to tell you. I think if it were me, I would want to re-order them but that is because it would bother me knowing that it went out with a mistake on it. If I didn't know it before hand, I would be able to laugh it off, hopefully. Is it worth another $300, or will you be embarassed if people make comments?

how much did they cost? Personally, I know it would drive me nuts and I'd reorder.

When I ordered my invites I was told that I had to proof stuff like people's names but everything else that is a regular word they are responsible for!!!

So 'Caterers' is a basic word so they are responsible for spelling it correctly. They should reprint them for FREE.

There spell check should have caught 'Cateres' just like it catches it in Microsoft Word.

yea right, you'd think right..
They print whatever YOU write, regardless.. So it's my fault!!! It's ok, nobody that is comign to the wedding, even knows how it's spelled.. Whatever..

IMO--if you want it fixed, fix it yourself, its one letter, if the invitations are white, then I have a solution for you, otherwise if its a cream or off white color I cant help you.
But they sell those 'White outs' that is paper either BIC or Papermate, and you just draw over the last 's', and replace/handwrite in same color as the print an 'r' so it will say 'Caterer' instead of 'caterers'.
