OMG... i'm shocked... a possible BM.. updated

For those of you who have read my dilemma about my possible BM for the wedding party...

short recap - she's not a real good friend, cuz i was always trying to make our friendship work.. and I'm always calling her, and she never makes an effort really.... but i've been friends with her since we were in 1st grade....

well.... I just got a phone call from her.. i was going to let it go to voicemail.. but i decided to pick up. mind you a couple weeks ago, I was going to delete her from my phone book. because she never called me for thanksgiving when she was suppose to come up to come visit me... so fed up me decided to pick up the phone... she's in NY and wants to get together wed or thurs, i'm a little reluctant but also excited go out... but i'll ask FH what he thinks.. i'm so indifferent right now.. i dunno what to do...

do you ladies think i should go see her?

I think you should go and see how it goes, and then base your decision on that.

absolutely agree that you should go and see how things are. You do not want someone in your BP that is going to stress you out

i would go, feel things out ... but DO NOT ask her yet!

you have plenty of time for asking the bp (i'm sure you're tired of hearing that, but in this case its true!) ... make sure you are sure about your friendship with her before making the commitment on your end.

so many of the 06ers and 07ers regretted bp decisions b/c they were made way too early.

im in the same boat as you.. recently one of my best friends and i just became really distant i was always trying and putting out the effort and she just couldnt care less. as much as it *****, if she called and asked me to hang out i would definitly go! not everyone is lucky enough to keep in touch with people from their childhood so i wouldnt want to lose that! give it a shot!!

thank you girls... i asked FH and he said if i want to go i can go... so we'll see.. i'll call her tomorrow and see what's up... she called me twice today, which is more i can say she has done in a year.. so i'm very impressed....

but i'm not going to ask her... i still want to test the water... plus i dont want to make a mistake that i can't take back... thanks for the input girls!!!

Sooooo i tested the water....

She called me on tuesday (25th) and tells me she's going to call me wed night to make plans for thurs... well I sure wasn't going to call her... I really wanted to see if she called me....

and well guess what happened... just what i thought.. she didnt call me.... i guess it was nice talking to her while it lasted.... so i guess that makes my choice sooo much easier..... it's really upsetting, but at the same time it gives me so much comfort...

You dont need the extra stress around your wedding day, just let it go.. thats not somebody you need as a bridesmaid if they cant keep their word

Thats really sad.... but friendships just like relationships have to be 50/50.... so now you can put all that energy into something else... Im sorry to hear
