yea, i mean, if youre having a tent, total casino wedding with tables to gamble and stuff than yes, but if its a sit down formal wedding i vote no

You could always have 'formal reception to follow' on the invites so people know how to dress

I never considered it to be either formal or informal.... just, my thing.... I dunno. We're not going ALL OUT.... at least, I don't think so..... this is exactly what we are doing:

Casino cocktail hour
Vegas Casino Table Names
Chocolate coin poker chips instead of jordan almonds
King and Queen of hearts ice sculpture


I think that's it...... so, should I not go with the invites???

i'm gonna be honest here, i actually think the invites are cute and i disagree w some of the other posts, i think they are fine for wedding invitations. they look like your theme, w a very classy approach. i think they would be perfect for your theme.

and if you love them but are concerned about people assuming a casino theme means not formal, then do what one of the other girls suggested and write 'formal reception to follow' on them.

if you love them, go for it...i think they're nice!

I actually saw these in the books at party city this weekend! I thought they were awesome, I loved them. My vote is GO FOR IT

ETA: I just read the other posts, the invitations look a lot fancier in person
