I wanted so badly for her to be good... The performance was horrible! She barely moved & should have covered up a bit more & added something else to her performance.... Still pulling for her though!!

I really wanted her to have a kick a$$ performance tonight because she really needs it. I figured her new single is doing pretty well (I personally love it) and this could be her come back. I think she looked amazing, ESPECIALLY after having 2 kids. But I agree, she barely moved and looked lost. I think this was too big of a performance to be her first one back in the light. She should have been doing smaller performances leading up to this so she was ready. And it was her first time performing Gimme More. When was the last time she did a huge performance like this? Despite some of the crap she's pulled and done, I really hope she can bounce back.

Im so surprised. I was waiting for the fireworks and confetti.... THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A COMEBACK??? I think more thought should of been put into the performance. She should of put on an act like Chris Brown did......that kid can dance. I really was rooting for her and still am....BUT...... I think she needs more time to prepare. She looks a lil rusty! Oh and those extensions were HORRIBLE.....LOVED the blue eyes!!! but I still <3 her!!!

sorry to say but she probably barely moved bc she was on something and i it kinda looked like it...i have to see it again and really pay attention to notice if she is. For someone who does do drugs and for them to be so much in the media lately with very negative press and then opening at the VMA's and everyone watching to see if youre gonna mess up or not, well most likely they took something

That 'performance' (if you can even call it that) was a DISASTER! A total train wreck! She looked great, absolutely, but this was a girl who could dance! Where the hell did she go?!!??! It was so uncomfortable to watch

Britney overheard Sarah Silverman rehearsing her monologue in which she calls Britney’s babies mistakes and takes jab after jab. Britney made it very clear with MTV that Sarah was NOT allowed to talk about her kids, and MTV agreed. Sam Lufti (VMA producer) was overheard backstage screaming at Sarah Silverman because of her outrageous remarks saying: “Sarah Silverman is a seriously unprofessional person to make fun of infants to get a laugh.” Perhaps this why Britney looked upset during her performance. Britney was seen backstage in Alli’s arms crying about how cruel people can be to her babies. While it is Silverman’s job to get a laugh, it should not be at the expense of little babies. Britney Spears was to perform under the magic of Chris Angel..but MTV freaked out at the last minute finding out what Britney was actually going to do. Supposedly, what Britney and Chris were planning was to do a set of mirrors and flotation. But when told to the Palms they flipped. Insurance!!, and the stage couldn’t support the performance. MTV also freaked at the last minute because of their fear of being “too controversial” Britney and Chris were infact furious with MTV’s sad excuse, they told Britney to change the performance at the last minute. Britney’s original performance was to infact appear and disappear. To float through the air… and for much mature dancing

Im not even commenting to bash her, but like they were saying on the news this morning, she looked great for having two kids, but she looked terribly uncomfortable up there. She should really take some time off and 'reinvent' herself. I really dont think it was her idea to perform, she really didnt look like she wanted to be there.

Ok this is what I think......... Sarah Silverman is raunchy......... I think she was very out of line.... I was waiting for Britney to come out of the back and tackle Sarah on stage(wish it would of happened)...... That was just plain wrong to attack her children like that...... I mean I understand, its comedy, but come on thats messed up. Yes I laugh at some of the things she says, but then Im like....'shes so ignorant.' She has no class and I wish someone would just punch her in the face after she joked on them! just my thoughts!
