So I just got back from lunch and noticed something out of the corner of my eye... I looked at my ring and noticed that one of the diamonds was missing!!!! I ran around my office all frantic and found it!!! But now I will have to go back to Zales and have it put back in. I hope they don't have to send it away! I would be so upset without it!
Thank God it wasn't the center stone! It was one of the little ones around the big one. I can't believe I actually found it!!! I need to get this thing insured asap! Ladies if you haven't, take my advice.... do it soon!

hmmm...
even the Attias Flea Market jewelers can re-set it for you AS YOU WATCH - it's really easy to do 'cause it's a prong setting. That way, you'd only have to wait a couple days for them to be open, not a week like for Zales!

Wow. Glad you found it! I saw that set in Zales and wanted it!! Yeah - and get that baby insured and pronto. That's the good thing about Zales though, they stand behind their jewelry so replacing it won't be a problem.

I totally agree! FH bought my ring in nj(he lives there) but you can watch everything they do to your ring.

that happened one night while waitressing right after we got engaged...i was on the floor searching!!!!!!! but the jeweler was so easy with it and it was fine. scary feeling though, isn't it? please tell me your ring is insured!!! if not, get it done!!!

I actually had a similar expierence with mine. I have a diamond solitare and was cleaning when I noticed it was missing! Luckily I found it and later on found out that I would have gotten another diamond replacement for free since I have a lifetime guarantee.
Sooo happy you found it! I would have been in a panic. Make sure your ring is insured...I wouldn't wear mine until it was. Its worth the peice of mind.

So hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get to a jeweler. I just can't bear to be without it for a week, so I think I'll just get it fixed where I can watch and suck up the cost. I guess it can't be too much...(hopefully)
I will call tomorrow to get it insured. Ugh... crazy day... I am so upset about it still!!!

Try either the flea market, or one of the jewelry stores located in the middle of the mall. I didn't want to wait to get my ring resized once and I got it done at a place in the middle of the mall. It was only $20...not too horrendous.
