Ok I just got off the phone with my TA and she was giving me a heads up that she is hearing that the New resort I booked in Antigua may not be open in time for my honeymoon!!!!!!
She has a Sandals meeting Wednesdya night and will know better then, but this stinks! I was booked at the New Mediterranean Village. It was due to open in the begining of February.

Sandals is really good at compensating you. My sister stayed at the Whitehouse resort in Jamaica the first week it was opened and they gave her a a free trip (same amount of days her trip was for) because the resort wasnt completely finished.

They wont screw you over.

Is this new village part of the Sandals Grande Antigua because I cant find info about it on their website?

Ugh!

I work in travel industry and read that in a trade magazine last week I'm sorry. They are saying it will be opening closer to early summer rather than the spring.

BUT I will say Sandles is REALLY good about taking care of their clients/guests. They might move you to another resort, give you an upgrade and probably a voucher for a certain percentage off your next Sandles vacation.

OK, FH just called our agent. She said she hasn't heard anything about that. He said she seemed to doubt that it was true, but who knows. Your travel agent might be more 'in the know'. Anyway, she said that she has a meeting on Wednesday too with the head of Sandals or something like that? Maybe it is a big meeting with all agents?

Anyway, I guess we have to sit here and hold our breath until then!

I'm also booked there but my wedding is not until June. I hope everything works out for you. Sandals is very good at accommodating their clients and I'm sure they will make arrangements for you that you will be happy with. Don't worry to much I'm sure everything will work out. GOOD LUCK
