OMG-ON TLC, this lady had 14 kids and is pregnant with # 15!

and only 2 bathrooms??? How can they give enough attention to 15 kids???

I just cant imagine..I would never have the energy!

I certaintly am not judging them because they do seem like good kids and good people...but WOW.

Hey more power to em but I couldnt see myself with more then 4 kids. I think my SIL is nuts cause she has 4 kids (her first round are twins)

I think MAYBE say if I was RICH, I could probably handle 6...But thats a BIG IF...NEVER ever 15...NEVER..thats a classroom!

My mom is the youngest of nine.

We had a family in my hometown that had sixteen kids!!

My SIL is one of 11...it's just too much!!!

Last night I was watching a documentary on teenage parents. There was one girl who had a baby at 12!!!! And a boy who fathered twins at 13!!!

Yikes - I mean good for them, but I couldn't do it.

No more than two for me - as FH says - never let the kids outnumber you

The only way i'm getting more than two is if #2 ends up being twins or something...

I saw the show too. I didn't think it was fair that everyone had a 'buddy'. It's good to teach kids to help but THEY decided to have that many kids so I fell THEY should be taking the brunt of the responsibility. The mom seemed sooo layed back!! I have 2 kids and am stressed out all the time-lol! Not to be mean either because I am sure money is tight, but, the mom really did need a new hairdo! The kids also dressed like they were Amish!

My FMIL has 13 total. I thought it was INSANE at first too but I love them all and couldn't imagine not having even one of them. Plus...my FH is one of them so I am grateful that she had them. BUT!!! I could NEVER imagine being a mommy to that many of them!!

If that was me I would spend most of my time.. and (drinking that is, not toasting!)

What family nowadays could afford to have that many kids?? Of course the mom is laid back, she is collecting money out of my pocket and yours. Our tax dollars at work my friends!! People have this many kids, because they know they will recieve assistance for it. If they knew they wouldnt be getting an extra check for each kid they had, they wouldnt do it.

I am the oldest of 7, we always had a buddy. My mother is one of 7 and my father is one of 9, all of my family is Irish Catholic, they just keep making these babies, it is not for me. DH convinced me that 2 is the way to go. Not knocking it at all, but when you have that many kids, your whole life is spent mothering. I am more interested in being a mother of 2 and then taking in some foster kids.

The family in this TV story is not representative of most families who have that many kids, and neither is yours. But the fact remains, that most families with 13 or so kids who are regular working class people, cannot afford in this day and age to feed, clothe, send thier kids to college, buy a house, ect on thier budget without assistance. Most people I know who have 1 or 2 kids are strapping to get by unless they have money, I know there is no way they could do it with 10 or 11 more kids without help.

I was glued to that show!! I was just telling a co-worker how truly ridiculous it was!! DH and I could not believe that people still live like that. Come on lady, its called the pill :)
Alright if 15 kids floats your boat, atleast CUT THAT HAIR :)
and don't get me started on those dresses and Jim bob!!! haha
