I know u ladies must be so tired of hearing about my venue search.. but i really feel as if i will never find THE PLACE..
I want modern and no carpet 1 to 2 weddings a day... I LOVE MODERN feel and i feel as if alot of the venues we have been to are from it!!

yes, I am married (city hall)
it's the formal wedding with the church cermony
we are expecting about 215 ppl.

YES!
SO love The Inn at New Hyde Park.
I was going to suggest it. I don't know how 'modern' it is, but I think it's classic without being dated, since it was remodeled in 2008.

I know you are looking to stay around $100 pp..right? I think I remember that from the BHB board. Honestly...and im only saying this bc I went and looked at so many venues...The ones that had wood floors and had a more modern feel were well over $100 pp. I hate carpeting too but my venue has it and I had to get over it bc it had everything else I wanted for the price I was willing to spend. When its dark and everything else is all done up the carpet will barely be noticeable.

I don't know if you would say Russo's On The Bay is modern, they don't have carpet at all. I love it!!!

Hi ladies!
I am booked for the Carltun on July 30th. Finding the venue was the hardest part for me! I was so picky. I wanted a mansion, but clean and updated, new , no carpet, no hideouw wallpaper, etc etc etc. My mother, father, fiance and I went to about 14 places - I owe them all!
When I went to the Carltun I found it all! I am so happy ... it is elegant, beautiful, my own little mansion. I highly, highly recommend it ! Only one wedding at a time. We have only heard wonderful things from family and friends...it is a little pricey, but I think you will be extremely satisfied. Good luck...have you found something yet?
VERY modern and trendy...plus a gorgeous outdoor space! And fabulous views of the city!

since you said jersey... (i just posted this recently for someone else) this place is brand new - literally - located in liberty state park (jersey city)
