Thats so horrible!! I couldn't imagine ever doing that to FH!! Its gross and wrong and unimaginable!
Since he sounds like a nice guy who doesn't deserve to be treated that way, I do wish them a happy marriage since they are going though with it.

So FH's cousin's wedding date is 07/07/07. He's from here but getting married in Iowa b/c that's where his FH is from. He moved his whole life over there for her and is in med school and scheduled to take his boards. Anyway he just found out that she has been cheating on him for two yrs w/ a 38yr old married man. Everyone is shocked and everyone has plane tickets and hotel reservations to go (its this week!) And he's like the nicest guy too...it's his first girlfriend (first love) and he would do anything for her. He even made (put together) the wedding invites.
It makes me sick to my stomach to think that this was going one while she was registering for for her new towels and bed sets...I'm like what the heck what this girl thinking??? ughh
Worst thing is he doesn't know what to do...at first he was like I'm calling it off....than this week he wants to go to consueling w/her. She basically f'*ked up his life...he missed his board exams b/c of this. How could you love someone that much that has done that to you???
**So I find out that they are actually going to go through w/the wedding. He has decided to have her sign a prenup...I can't believe this!? AND they're getting married in a Catholic church it makes me so sick. FH+I are boycotting the wedding. So we're not going, no gift...I know it sounds bad but his own sister is doing the same thing and she was supposed to be in the girl's bridal party. I can't believe this girl is going to face everyone there and go through w/this - seriously if I went over there I wouldn't be able to take it and end up doing something bad...so good thing I don't.
If you dont think you could go and be supportive ( not sure I could either) then I think you are doing the right thing...but instead of no gift ,maybe send soemthing that would only beof use to him?

Yikes. But remember some people out there have open marriages too. NOT that I condone or agree. I guess it is to each their own. I hope that he knows what he is getting himself into though,, and really thought it through.

Re: OMG *update*
she does not deserve his love, once a cheat always a cheat, he really should call the whole thing off, there are so many wonderful women out there that would love him the way he deserves to be loved, and respect him. tell him to please think this through. i could not attend that wedding, cause my big mouth would be running, and i'd probally slap her. and she didnt do it just once, she been doing this for along time, she's not going to change. how does he know that when he's holding her that her heart isnt somewhere else, please STOP this WEDDING.

That is so sad. Its horrible to know he found out before the wedding. Its even worse I think if he found out after. Two years is a long time to spend with someone else. Hes smart to get a prenup. Especially if hes going to be a doctor. Which makes me so mad she sabotaged his career by making him miss his boards. That is a serious test. She's obviously very selfish and I hope he realizes what he really wants. It would be a shame to go thru with the marriage to just not be happy. On a positive note.. Maybe therapy will work and the infidelity can be forgiven by him. Unfortunetly she probably wont be invited to many family parties... I wish him luck in being strong no matter which way he chooses.

Its horrible, but ultimately their decision.... I wouldn't boycott their wedding, they know people are upset, and they are the ones that have to deal with eachother and live with the humiliation.... *****, but to each their own....

That is such a difficult situation. I feel terrible for him. However I also feel bad that some of his family won't go to the wedding either.
I think that he really needs support from his family and friends even if they don't agree with what he's doing. Let him know we don't agree with you, but we are there for you. You don't want him feeling alienated or feel like he'll have to stay in that marriage cause he'll hear I told you so.
