THis is sooooo upsetting, Im literall in shock!!! I had friends that went there that recentl graduated...I just cant believe this!!! I pray for all the students, teachers and there familys!!

the death toll just jumped up to 32!!! holy moly!! I just don't undertand how 2 hrs went by without the shooter being caught?? At least some lives would've been saved...what is wrong with ppl today?? sooo horrible!

Its so terrible. I live and work in Virginia and so many people in my office are worried about neighbors and friends kids who attend VT.
Its so awful. I cant believe the shooter started in one place and then 2 hours later ended up some where else on campus to do the same!

it reallly just breaks your heart. i can't even begin to imagine the pain that the family members are going thru of those who died today.

Tech is about 20 minutes away from where I grew up, and where my parents and sister still live. One of my closest friends works there, and my sister has a lot of friends who go there. My mom's office is right across the street from the campus. Luckily everyone we know there is okay. My mom's office was on lockdown all day, and so was my friend's. This is so terrible. I've been watching the news all night and seeing this campus in such chaos breaks my heart.
You never think something like this will happen, much less that it would happen in a sleepy little town like Blacksburg. My heart goes out to the victims' families.

Where did you grow up? DH is from Christiansburg...we live in NoVA now....this is soo sad.
