I just saw the rerun of the woman's 100m . that Canadian girl fell and knocked over the Russin runner!
I couldn't care less as long as USA got the Gold, but still can you believe it how horrible for the Russian woman! She did nothing wrong, just was unfortunate enough to stand next to the Canadian runner!
What a terrible situation!!!!

Re: OMg, what a situation!
I know!!! How awful for her! She starting crying immediately. I can't even begin to imagine how she feels; all that training to not even finish and it wasn't even her fault! She just happened to be in the wrong lane at the wrong time.

She asked for a do over but it was denied. I feel as if some of our 'gold medals' will be viewed as tainted by the rest of the world...think Hamm. But its all about a judgement call.

Speaking of Hamm, did anyone see the men's individual events on the high bars? I was watching it early this morning and I was extremely appauled by the fact that the audience booing could cause the judges to rescore the event. Goes to show you how much pull a judge has.

I dont think its right that they denied the lady who was knocked down another try, or whatever. She had nothing to do with what lane she was in and she just got knocked over by the other girl. That is so not fair!
