OMG...HELP

OMG...HELP

SO I thought it would be nice to go with my BM to try on their dresses... I picked a date, one was like yes and the other no. Th eone who says no is always giving me a hard time for everyting, so I give her her way, and let it be.

Well I insisted and told her that I'd been non pushy about everything and that if she could do this for me I'd appreciate it. I said I was gonna talk to the seamstress for them and all at another place so they could get their dresses altered cheaper.

she emails me back and blows up that lucky I didn't choose another dress cause everyone thought it was ugly and that she'll get her dress altered somewhere else. DId I do something wrong?
She was sooo rude

i know it's been said before hon....but weddings bring out the best in some people & the worst in others....

I've had both experiences with my BP - so i feel your pain. The one rule I went with for my MOH's wedding last year was any strife in the BP, any problems i was having as her MOH....i NEVER EVER told her & I hate that girls now feel that they can dictate stuff for YOUR day.

I know this isn't helping at all - but i wanted you to know that you are NOT alone....

Unfortunately this is the first tiff I've had.

It's weird, I didn't expect it at all

I wrote her this long email, trying to explain to her that I've given in a lot and that I just wanted her to go on this one day. Even the other bm said the only reason she didn't want to go was cause she wants to stay at her man's ...so I guess it pissed her off, who know, just not sure how to handle this.

Re: OMG...HELP

maybe a phone call would be your best bet...but be prepared for ANYTHING to happen. She may be on edge right now - the holidays are stressful.. she may be PMS'ing....ya never know...

Believe me - i know this pain. I have not asked my girls for ANYTHING...they picked their own dresses, they helped pick the color, they can do their hair however they want it, i haven't been a 'bridezilla' AT ALL...and i'm still getting crap from his sister....I CANNOT STAND HER ANYMORE & wish i could toss her out of the BP.

sorry - had to get that out!

Oh i am so with you. I have a bm who when i was taking the girls to get measured to order their gowns, made us along with 5 other people change the date because she wanted to spend the entire day with her bf who she sees 7 days a week. I have 12 bms and i was going with 5 of them that day and because it was an afternoon day we were going to go to get them measured at 10:30 and then go to lunch straight after so she would have been done by 1:30 latest but unfortunately she wanted to be with her bf. So we ended up going a different day and shes the only one who didnt go out to dinner. Now it's time for me to be a bm in her wedding and i am trying to make things as easy for he as possible so she doesnt feel crappy.

You girls are much better than I am because if anyone spoke to me that way, regardless of who they are to me, they wouldnt be a BM anymore. No one deserves to be spoken to that way, especially by someone you consider so important to make them an important part of your day.

To be honest I thought I would feel the same, but I was taken off gurard, that I didn't know how to react.

We did email back and forth and she apologized, and said she felt like I was saying she was a pest the whole thing is jsut odd

Thats grounds for firing a bridesmaid! Accepting to be in a bridal party means you are saying yes to a commitment. If you can't do that you shouldn't say yes.
