Okay what we were gonna do first was fill our giant beer mug favors with peanuts/cracker jack but then decided against it. We came up with the idea of the placecards being tickets to the 'game' and attaching small clear favor bags of peanuts or cracker jack (every other bag I guess so it doesn't get too crowded on that table).
But who doesn't love the vintage Cracker Jack boxes!!!! Would it be nuts to do all cracker jack boxes at the placecard table?! But then where do the peanuts go?
You can be honest....is it just classier and less silly to go with the clear bags and forget the boxes? I just loved the idea of everyone getting their own box and prize!

it only works b/c you are doing placecard game tickets. its cute b/c it goes with the theme but i also think it will look a little crowded. and maybe not everyone will take one or eat a box..
it's different and i respect people that think outside of the box..

I emailed my sister and she thinks it might be going too far- and that's funny coming from the person who totally took this theme and ran away with it! (like the pennants instead of ribbon wands- HER idea!).
She thinks we should stick with peanuts & cracker jack in little bags, attached to placecards. I'm thinking she might be right. She says it's classy but with a HINT of ballpark...and she's right I think. With boxes, it really does turn into a 'party' rather than a wedding.
But I might just go with the boxes for the kids favors anyway! It's only like $15 for 24 boxes!

I love the idea of cracker jacks. I might order some myself for a mets bbq i'm having. If you think they look unclassy can you maybe incorporate them into your centerpiece or table decor. Not necceasrily one per person. Maybe fewer wouldn't bother you as much!

Ya know..I like this CP idea!!! So whoever wins the CP gets the cracker jack box! Cuz I'll definitely have a ton left over since only the kids table will get the boxes....

that is a great idea! Give the boxes to the kids! i am glad you didnt take offense to my opinion.. its hard when everyone agrees and then someone thinks opposite.. and sometimes people read things defensively ( i know i do sometimes) but i think what you are doing is awesome!

Trust me, it was refreshing to hear your opinion! I honestly thought- there's gotta be SOMEONE who thinks this is a little off! I really just got excited by the concept but I think I knew deep down it wouldn't work. Thanks!
