On a good note about the church.............

I emailed the pastor to ask if it was ok to throw petals instead of rice or birdseed outside after the cermony and he said yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So funny!!! I asked the same thing when meeting with my pastor on Tuesday and I was so excited he said yes!! See...it doesn't take much to make us happy!

I'm a Lutheran bride (though I'm Catholic) FH is divorced so this was NOT a fun task to find a church and an officiant willing to marry someone living in sin!

FH is Catholic and we are not religious at all so i wasnt going to go through all the stuff the catolic church wants you to do.....FH family are very religious catholics so we compromised are getting married in a church but a luteran church. I was brought up lutheran and even not being a religious person it wasnt bad because they are very lineiant ( sp?) about so many things its much more laid back than catholic churches IMO

very nice...i think they prefer petals to rice these days b/c of the birds...although some churches do not even allow petals b/c of people slipping(I do not think mine does unfortunately)....congrats...it will look so beautiful

they make bird safe rice now u can get it in acmoore and michaels....they are heart shaped and as soon as water hits them the melt. We were gonna do that if they said no to rose petals

just becareful of your dress....some bubbles can stain especially if anyone is wearing taffeta!! My friend had a satin ivory dress at her wedding and she had bubble stains all over it! and the BMS forget about it they had taffetta dresses and u can see the speckles!

Thanks for the warning...we didn't have any problems at my brother and sil's wedding. She had satin and so did we (bm's) and there was no issues. But it's definitely something to think about...thanks!
